I'm happy the staff clean the place fairly decently. The Owner really should hire someone to really make it super clean bc clean on an entirely whole different level will give a massive boost to business.. just look at how and why pizza hut shuts down. They don't clean their air they don't clean their seats and the tables have never been replaced. Yuk.
There is a chance this restaurant can be the no.1 a and w in Calgary... only if it is ultra clean. At least for me having a super clean place really makes me want to come back for more. The Franchise really does make everything good but doesn't tell how the owners to keep it clean clean. Most of the AW's are decent but really can be much cleaner..
And really how a restaurant business grows is In it's beginning when it's new.. that because a new and clean restaurant (which should always be kept new as possible) can and will perform..
If I owned an AW restaurant I'd go the extra mile and make the bathrooms clean, the drive through power washed, the windows cleaned every few months etc. I would even hire a bathroom supercleaner and pay them $30/hr... imagine how many people would go after that job... and imagine your customer experience and rating go up and up.
Restaurant bathrooms are a big indicator of how clean the entire restaurant is. That's why many of the no.1 restaurants actually have like 9/10 cleanliness. Big factor for your operation. If your pulling in 40k per month why not hire someone to top clean detail clean the place???? Don't cheap out and you will see incredible business margin gains far exceeding the savings..
Also I'd recommend change your frying oil slightly more frequent. Nobody likes dark oily fries.. although a and w fries are very delicious. I'm just being picky however these small details are something I'd expect and like to see the best a and...
Read moreterrible customer service. went in the drivethru last week and they gave me the wrong order. which is totally understandable as i worked in the fast food industry in the past. i then called to get a replacement order and they said to mention my name and phone number when i come in and get exactly what i ordered on them. went in to request my order yesterday, i did not give them any grief whatsoever. the shift manager did not even want to give me anything then decided she would only give me one meal because "it's expensive". then ended up giving me my full order but she was making a scene out of it and a big deal. even spilled my drink and didn't bother replacing the cup or cleaning it. gave me it all dirty. also very slow service. took about 40 mins to get my order. not only that, but she was also bossing the staff around instead of actually having manners. i get that people sometimes do try to take advantage of the system and try stealing free meals but it was an honest mistake from their end. i'm not usually one to leave bad reviews, but she doesn't even deserve a 1 star. her name starts with Ch. Read moreI went to this restaurant more than two weeks ago I had ordered a burger with all the that goes on it.
When we arrived home we discovered the Burger and bun had been provided, without the requested tomato, ketchup, lettuce, onions and pickles etc.
I called this location spoke to the manager who apologized took my name and phone number and told me to come back anytime too and he will redo the order.
I came today to the to have the meal replaced as had been promised, from my previous visit. After waiting about 10 minutes they couldn't find my name in any book. So much for this restaurant taking care of their customers when they mess up an order.
I doubt I'll return to this location. To think A&W, DQ and Burger King are the only fast food restaurants I'll eat burgers at. After the lack of customer service exhibited at this restaurant I'll not bother again!
