I am a very regular customer for this food chain because my 2 year old loves it. I have been to this locations many many times and the one on aviation as well. Last night(6:00-6:30pm) my son wanted Popeyes chicken and fries and i live in NW so wanted to make a quick take out after tiring work day. This south asian man attended me. I always order their big family meal, which is 10 piece. Like always asked 5 tender for my toddler and 5 piece for rest. This guy is saying they do either or. Please remember i am not the person to give a bad attitude so just let him know very politely using my please and thank you throughout our conversation that i always get it this way. He persisted to ask me who does it?. Is it the manager or team member. I sarcastically said regular employees as I did not want to name anyone also mentioning to him. It is multiple times as this is what i always get. The person( supervisor/ manager) same south Asian guy honoured it. Patiently waiting for my order with a toddler hungry. This guy did not give me my receipt but was showing my order to the other employee and whispering about my orders in his ear. The person prepared the order but i had to wait until the same south asian guy checked my order opening it and then handed it to me. Again no idea but used my words and politeness thanked him cause i don't want to ruin someones day after a hard and tiring work day. When i got home i realized how purposely he kept the piece very small. Very impolite. I would like to let the person and the management team know that you think you are in power by doing the silly things. I least cared about what you did to me , but don't want this to go unnoticed. $40 for one adult and a kid is a lot of money to get better service and I am surely not returning this location. Just be kind and generous and thats all you need to provide customer service, which you eventually will learn your way throughout your career and the self peace you get being kind is reward to yourself. Try it :). Also to make sure other don’t have this experience, the south Asian guy i am referring to is either a supervisor or a manager and wears a silver thick bangle in his wrist. :) I didn’t plan to do bad review and therefore didn’t catch the name. Alternate to this i would suggest aviation location. They have similar deal for $29(cheaper) for 10 piece chicken. Thanks for...
Read moreWe visited the Sarcee Trail NW in Calgary (store number 12596) for my son's birthday dinner in April (take out at his request). We ordered a fair bit of food but upon reaching home we realized that 8 of our biscuits were not included in our order. As we didn't want the food (average, nothing special) to get cold, I thought that if I filled out the survey and mentioned the missing items, someone from the chain would contact me and offer up a replacement coupon for the missing items. Nope. Nothing. So, I went to Twitter and FB Messenger, and also referenced the receipt number. That was over 6 months ago (as of today), and after many messages via both platforms, nothing - NOTHING - has been done other than the tired statement of "someone from customer service will contact you". I've boycotted their restaurant and I'd highly recommend you try a Canadian company...you know, one that understands customer service because clearly Popeye's does not. Oh, for better food, try Chicken-On-The-Way.
UPDATE: Further to my review being posted, I was contacted by Popeye's management via Google and email and offered a replacement meal. I really only wanted my missing biscuits, but after discussing with the family we decided that the hassle was worth a whole meal. We took Maria up on her offer, and we did receive everything this time :) The chicken was hot, well cooked and tasted good. Nice coating! The fries were...fries. Slightly mushy, they could have been crisper, but maybe that's the way they make them. Onion rings were the same as the fries. Biscuits were probably worth the wait - they were very good. Thanks to Maria for taking the initiative (where Popeye's head office/Twitter/FB would not) and dealing with our problem. We appreciate it, Maria :) I upped my star rating to reflect the free...
Read moreEstablishments like yours (Popeyes @ Beacon Hill) exist ONLY because of customers walking in the door and having your food. You owe EVERYTHING to your customers. If a customer has a concern about quality of a product, it is your job to try and resolve the situation. Telling a customer, "That's the way it is..." is basically saying the person's concern is not worth the time to make right. Our complaint? We purchased a meal and got the smallest 2 pieces of chicken you could probably get. So we brought this to te attention of the cashier who was about to take care of this only to have this other worker in all black uniform stop her and tell us "That's the way it is..."
Really??? You couldn't look beyond your pitiful authority as a food service worker thinking she had made it in the world and can now deny anyone who patronizes the store if they aren't satisfied with the product? You don't understand that one negative comment like this probably equals thousands in lost revenue for your store? You need serious training in customer service.
So if you work at this branch and you can read this, you should learn from this review and reprioritize in your understanding what good customer service and customer satisfaction are about.
To all you readers...if you plan on eating at a Popeyes, you think you're getting a raw deal and not satisfied with the pieces you're being given? SPEAK UP and ask the staff to treat you better!! To the Manager Maria, thank you for your quick reply. FYI that the uncaring employee in black I was referring to had a name tag that said Pat, if you really want to get to prevent this from reoccurring, train this employee in proper customer complaint handling...
