Subway — Restaurant in Calgary

I recently visited this Subway location, and overall, the experience was solid and consistent with what you’d expect from the brand. It is in my neighborhood so it is very convenient for me but what keeps me coming back is the wonderful staff and owners.

Service: The staff are friendly and efficient. My sandwich artist listens carefully to my order, was generous with toppings, and maintained a clean and organized prep area. During busy times, there can be a bit of a wait, but the line usually moves quickly.

Food Quality: The ingredients were fresh, and the bread was warm and perfectly baked. I tried the [insert your usual order, e.g., “Turkey Breast on Italian Herbs & Cheese”], and it hit the mark—flavorful, fresh, and well-balanced. I’ve never had an issue with food temperature or missing ingredients at this location.

Cleanliness: The dining area and beverage station were clean, and tables were promptly wiped between customers. The restroom was also tidy, which is a good indicator of how the staff manages the store.

This location is in an enclave of stores.in the middle.of the parking lot of this box store area. There was no traffic to most of thr stores here. When we went to order, there seemed to ve very few options of sandwiches listed unlike other stores. The bread was dry and tough seeming like it had sat for a while. I had asked for extra tomatoes but she didnt give them and i didnt want to ask again. When she went to cut the sandwiches, she dipped a knife into a water bin, before cutting. Not sure if this is standard proceedure, of it was clean water etc. I wouldnt see the water container bit its the first time at any store i had seen them do this. Last thing was this sites pop machine didnt have a flavour additives. Just 5 or so flavours you can add as much each to your cup, but no cherry. Strawberry etc to the up. So just less choice. In the end, maybe a low volume store that may be why our experience wasnt the same as other locations is my guess. Probably wont visit this location...

Came here to get a bite to eat during our road trip. Came in, no greeting what so ever- not even a smile or an acknowledgement that someone entered the store. My friend started her order ( footlong turkey breast and ham, on Italian bread) only to be told that the bread she wanted wasn’t available, even tho it was on the cooling rack. She settled for another bread and he swapped it out for bread she initially asked for, and said he wouldn’t toast it cause it would get “hard”. After she added what she wanted: he toasted the bread after saying he wouldn’t. They barely added any toppings but overloaded the sub with sauce. After our orders were made, he threw them across the counter and asked if we needed anything. I sadly wouldn’t come back here. Seems like they still are...
