Edo Japan — Restaurant in Calgary

Not a typical reviewer, or an Edo Japan regular. Being as this is out of the way for me, and not part of my regular diet, I will not be able to support this business by becoming a repeat customer, I can only help support through this review. This location deserves 6.5 stars! My girlfriend and I both ordered our food which was hand delivered to our table fresh(this is a fast food location, and I would not expect to have food delivered to our table). I believe the owner or partnership owners were there helping their staff during a steady Sunday afternoon. They were in the mix, leading their staff instead of just managing. The food was delivered to our table by what I believe to be the owner or co-owner. The two gentlemen made sure everyone in the store was taken care of. They even brought utensils to our table. They checked on us during our meal, made sure the food was the quality we would of expected, and picked our tray and garbage up afterward before we left. Both very friendly, they made sure we enjoyed the meal and wished us a great day on our way out the door. I know that this may be customary in a sit-down restaurant, especially a higher class venue; however, this was an excellent and unexpected experience at a fast food chain and it should not...

I mobile ordered sushi to be ready at 11:20 AM this morning. Arrived at 11:25 only to discover that not only was the order not ready, but it had not even been started. I waited until closer to 11:30 before articulating to the staff that I had pressing commitments and needed to go and wanted to cancel my order, and they said it would be ready in 2 minutes. I didn’t leave the store until 11:36, and in fact had to return shortly after as they had not included part of my order. The staff was unapologetic and unhelpful and didn’t seem to care that despite ordering ahead of time, I still waited an extra 15 minutes. I will not be using this location in the future as what is the point in mobile ordering you have to wait for your order...

Late lunch today. Really Bad experiences ever!!!! What a unprofessional service!!! I wont go there again!!! I ordered food and tried to eat it on the table. All of sudden, one lady was sweeping up the floor, approach to my table, sweeping around my table while I was eating. All of the dust flying around me, She touched my Chair and table with broom. Not even sorry or excuse me. I strongly felt, I had to go. Because she was cleaning. The washroom was really dirty, they didn't clean it for a while though. Please get out of there when they are cleaning. You will get extra dust on your food that you do...
