Addition to my initial posting from 3 years ago: I feel it is important for me to express how much your words, attention, and time that you spend with women means in your shop because it is positively impactful. Also, I wanted to take the courage to share that while I wore one of the bathing suits you sold me that made me feel beautiful, I was body shamed by someone close to me (female friend no longer, and not the only time comments made). Ignoring this unwanted comment, I thought back to being in your shop. You, and any ladies out there, who accept women regardless of body shape and type, truly appreciate that you value women as the beautiful people we are, exactly as we are. And, so it should be. Period. Let us continue to change the 'should' to 'it is' because sadly and surprisingly, despite all the hype, including celebrities, to change such mindsets and societal norms/acceptance, it still happens and more often than one would think. I have been on both ends of the scale - literally - from being teased as a flat, straight female (very late bloomer) to too curvy, etc. Yet, also receiving unsolicited compliments of how beautiful I am. In 2019, I had a double mastectomy as part of my transition from female to male. In 2021, I began to regret my transition, though to this day I do not regret the life experience of being trans and continue to identify as a trans person. I didn't have the courage to share this part of my story to Julie, but I appreciated that she wasn't phased when I didn't want to talk about my situation much.

Julie has 20 years of experience fitting and altering bras, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to work with her. Julie is straightforward and funny, and knows how to navigate benefits such as ODSP. It took me a very long time to work up to getting a mastectomy bra, in part because I am a plus sized woman, but that was no challenge for Julie either.

The bra that we selected together really suits my figure and has practically eliminated my gender dysphoria. I've been wearing it for a couple of weeks now and every time I put it on I can't help but smile and giggle to myself. There is a light in my eyes that I don't think I had even before my mastectomy. I'm going to pick up a bra and swimsuit that Julie altered for me and I am just so excited. I am a plus size woman (not ashamed of that by any means and I love my body), although shopping as a plus size woman can be rather discouraging and/or difficult. In less than two months I am marrying my BESTFRIEND in the whole world and I needed the perfect 'night of' wedding lingerie plus the perfect bustier for under my wedding gown.

When searching plus size lingerie Greta's Flair popped up so I contacted the shop to see their procedures in order to inquire what I needed. Let me tell you, it was nothing but PURE BLISS shopping here and I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. Not only are they appointment based, the store is beyond clean and sanitized making shopping in a pandemic way more comfortable. Jeannie was an absolute dream and helped me find everything I needed, even better than I could have asked for... basically a Fairy God Mother of your plus size dreams. The owner who also stopped by was MORE than accommodating and offered to order anything I needed in my size if they did not have it in store. Unbelievable.
