This is a disturbing update to my previous 4 star below review ,I've been a loyal customer for well over 10 years, just recently, July 4 2024 I saw a employee walking by the coolers as I was looking for the salsa in the isle I know exist and have purchased numerous times before, but couldn't locate. His name was Jerrimie, I asked politely where the salsa was located he pointed over to the deli,I said I didn't want the fresh Salsa he seemed annoyed, I wanted the Ms Renfrew, he them walked me back to the the chip Isle by the chips to a toastido rack and display I knew it wasn't there and told him so. From that point forward, his rudness and lack of manners became increasingly obnoxious. His bully attitude became horrible he turned his back on me and walked away. This disgusting behavior was witnessed by my two guests , who were visiting from Quebec, who barely spoke English and commented he's from France. I was so taken back by monsier Geremies behavior, and I continued to look for the salsa which I did locate with numerous others very close to where I was looking. I asked my beautiful french wife to go get Gerimie in french, knowing he wouldn't come to help me, She went to find him not only is this guy a employee he is the manager(shocked) which was even more shocking as I stood waiting by the product he came and I showed him and confronted him on is lack of knowledge of his own store, and his disgusting rude behavior and the way he was unable or capable of any customer service with this embarrassing confrontation in front of him and witnessed by 3 other french people he was unable to de escalate or apologize for his lack of respect and knowledge of the store he worked in. He proceeded to get more rude and confrontational and told me to leave his store, which I did This employee, Gerimie, will not last and is an awful representation for this company, and I will forward my concern to Mr Pattison's office in my return to N.Van👎👎👎👎👎 ‐--------------- Good restaurant convenient, licensed good facility to relax for a few moments 👍🚴‍♂️😉🍲🍜🧂good customer service👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I tried to take some pictures but the food looked worse than it tasted. I try to find the positive when doing reviews but the only good thing about this meal was the coffee. Even then my small latte was served in a giant cup. Including the foam it didn't reach halfway up the sides. So much for the good part. The Porchetta looked good sitting on the carving board, all nicely browned and crispy looking. I've never had Porchetta so I was looking forward to it. I had the meal which included corn bread and mashed potatoes and broccoli/cauliflower plus gravy that I had to pay extra for. My wife had the beef pot pie. From the time my food was dished to paid for and sitting down my potatoes had developed a thick skin on top, the vegetables wilted and changed color and the gravy was barely room temperature. Most disappointing was the Porchetta that was so dry it soaked up the gravy and was still so dry that I drank my coffee and a glass of water artillery wasn't able to finish it. Complaining to my wife about my meal she was raving about her pot pie until she was half done and the salt content caught up to her. She gave me 4 pieces of meat since I didn't eat hardly any of my meal and I really don't know how she ate as much as she did. We left the store before 4pm got home at 440 and my wife immediately had diarrhea. It's now 645 and I can still taste the salt on my gums and her stomach still hasn't settled. This has been the worst meal I have EVER HAD. Except...I've had the sandwiches from there and I would go back for those. DON'T EAT the "hot" food.

Oh, Urban Fare in Kelowna, where wallets come to weep and salami is king! Walking through your doors is like entering a tragic comedy show, where the star actor is a piece of outrageously priced salami, strutting on the stage like it owns the place. The price tag on that salami - oh, it’s a Shakespearean drama! So high, it must be climbing to the heavens, reaching for a celestial blessing. Each slice must be infused with unicorn tears or marinated in the essence of a rare comet. It's not just salami; it’s a slice of opulence, a carnivore's crown jewel! Yet, amidst the fiscal heartache, there's a beacon of hope, a hero in the form of a pizza pretzel. Humble, yet tasty, reminding us that joy can be found without emptying our treasure chests. And let’s not forget about the old Asian man who took a spill at Coit Tower. Maybe he saw the future - a world where salami costs more than a pirate’s ransom. He fainted, not from the height, but from foreseeing this culinary extravagance! Urban Fare, you’re an emotional rollercoaster. Your salami - a tragic hero in a tale of luxury, your pizza pretzel - the comic relief. Three stars for the laughs, the tears, and the sheer audacity of your salami pricing! 🌟🥨💸

I live across from Okanagan College, this making Urban Fare one of the closest grocery stores to me.

I am a frequent shopper, I dont buy things in bulk, I just buy what I may need for the next 1 to 2 days, thus meaning I go shopping nearly everyday.

I have been going to Urban Fare for all of my groceries for over a year and a half now. While Urban Fare is technically owned by the same company as Save On Foods, which is right around the bend, Urban Fare's food quality is substantially higher. Save on Foods may be cheaper, but the overall quality of cuts of meat, packs of chicken, fruits and vegetables, is much lower than Urban Fare's.

If you are looking for a place in Mission to find high quality meats and dont mind paying the higher price for better meat, then this is the place. I have had Steak, Chicken, Halibut, Salmon, and their holiday Prime Rib Roasts. All are AMAZING. The roasts especially are fantastic, marinade them for a day before cooking and they fall apart in your mouth.

The other lovely thing is that Urban Fare offers much more in terms of sustainably sourced products, and gluten free and dairy free products. They also have a bakery, a hot food section, a small plant and flower section, all of which are tended by their own staff. Their In house cakes put Save on Foods to shame. While Save on may have a larger variety at lower price points, once again there is difference in quality, and I'm willing to pay extra for the better quality urban fare offers.

On top of that Urban Fare has a consistent staff base who are friendly and nice to talk to, they do many different donation programs, including during Pride Month to help the LGBTQ community, which is deeply appreciated.

Thank...

Wasn't nice and rushed me at the till, didn't say hello and just said to my lots of items and kind hello and smile, "need a bag"...very flat and emotionless, no kindness to me asking questions while trying to pay and sign up for the card while I was clearly getting nervous at his attitude trying to go as fast as I could. Very expensive also compared to the same items at other stores even Save On and the cupcakes I came there for from out of town were all on their last day good and icing had melted, was packed on Dec 1st and only good till Dec 6th, but It was December 6th and they didn't seem good still, they were wet and mushy, could have been on sale but we're not..

Used to love it here, I was in a really good mood and happy, until the man at the till was so openly unkind and annoyed with my trying to pay but not going fast enough and to find a card number to get the sale price, if you don't have have a Save on card they don't help you sign up or tell you how nicely and instead snap at your questions like you already should know that you have to activate it at home, so...drive home in the snow at night and sign up and then come back, I said I was from out of town too, they are not accommodating while you try to frantically call people for a card and go as fast as you can and questions were answered with no nice words or assurance. I left nervous confused and sad..and broke down in the car, I don't know why he couldn't have just been kind, he wanted me to sink to his level I think..I wish I went to any other till...at least they had Chipotle vegenaise.. it was 9$ :( :( I am sorry sir but I was doing my best, it wasn't good...
