This is a large shopping mall along St Catherine Street West in the City Centre. It originally opened in 1990 and was anchored by the now-defunct Eaton's department store. However, it remained connected to its origins afterward the 1999 bankruptcy The mall acquired the adjacent Complexe Les Ailes shopping centre in 2018 which added significant floor space which now also flys under the the Eaton Central brand. There are five floors of brand name retail shopping at Eaton Central, a new food court and a Time Out Market Montreal as well. It is a nice shopping venue, perfected fitted onto St. Catherine Street in a popular shopping area of Montreal. Worth a visit on rainy or bad weather days when you are seeking indoor places to spend time in the city.

Nothing in this mall stood out to me. The AC during my visit in August wasn’t that great either. I was looking for how to get to the Underground City, but this is part of it. The mall just goes up and includes shops like Old Navy and Uniqlo. There’s Time Out Market, which houses so many eateries. It even has cafeteria-style long tables. Escalators and elevators are everywhere for convenient access. There’s a Canada souvenir shop with lots of red n white!

went here on a sunday afternoon. mall is packed but there are so few seating areas or benches, and the rare ones are always occupied. decided to sit down in this empty corner to drink our boba since we were carrying a suitcase (going to VIA rail later) and shopping bags. minutes later, security shoos us and tells us "we cant sit there". like ok?? who am i even bothering?? just add more benches.........

Wow New York and other cities take notice ! Montreal eaton centre should set an example to all malls !. First off Mall was amazing (as someone who visited from NYC) but it's rather than an experience I had . So while I was waiting for my siblings while they were at the store I was doing a photo of them with my DSLR when mall security suprised me in a good way ! They appropriately ask me either if I knew them or what I was doing As both a visitor and photo enthusiast (with a college degree) I told them I was taking pictures of family I didn't try to deny it I was respectful so was the mall security. I apologized if I worried them they simply told me they was just making sure that I knew the people I was photographing (Luckily they were my siblings) but imagine if (the people I photographed) weren't I was in a way testing to see how mall security in Montreal or Quebec or Canada would handle this and they really passed the test and as an American citizen who was visiting Montreal I really tip my cap to them. Here in the states they really don't give a crap there's been incidents where a photographer took pictures for nofarious reasons and mall security did not do anything about it . Canda ama Eaton Montreal centre sets the standard of mall police...
