Place Montréal Trust is a prominent shopping centre located at the intersection of Sainte-Catherine Street and McGill College Avenue in downtown Montreal. Opened in 1988, it encompasses over 320,000 square feet of retail space and attracts approximately 14 million visitors annually. The mall is renowned for its architectural features, including a five-story atrium that allows for ample natural light and houses North America's tallest indoor water fountain, reaching 30 meters in height. During the holiday season, this fountain is transformed into a giant illuminated Christmas tree, enhancing the festive atmosphere.

Place Montréal Trust is seamlessly integrated into Montreal's extensive Underground City (RÉSO), providing sheltered access to nearby shopping centres like the Eaton Centre, as well as to the McGill and Peel metro stations. Adjacent to the mall is the Bell Media Tower, a 30-story skyscraper that was originally part of the complex and now serves as regional offices for Bell Media.

The mall's development was influenced by public concern over preserving views of Mount Royal. Initial plans included a concert hall and an office tower that would have obstructed these views. Public opposition, notably from architectural activist Phyllis Lambert, led to a redesign featuring a wider setback and the transformation of McGill College Avenue into a scenic boulevard.

Today, Place Montréal Trust continues to be a central destination for shopping, dining, and cultural experiences in Montreal's...

Was visiting from out of town yesterday. The fire alarms went off in the mall no announcement was made asked security the guy said it was nothing and a while later it went 9ff again this time a message was made in French. We left the mall as this is safety and my wife and my children were nervous. The message should have been made in English and French. As we are from Ontario and don' t speak French. When we went outside my children were nervous as there was many fire trucks outside the mall. Very poor safety of the mall administration. To me and my wife they don' t care about the workers or the shoppers. Will not see use again and will be letting family and friends know that live in Montreal about this. As we care about people and family. This mall should be closed until they get there system working properly and that shoppers and works hear the messages in both English and French .As well security should be trained and be helpfully to people in the mall. I work in a office as well as my wife and we have a emergency plan and all works know what to do and it's tested every three months. Oh maybe it's only in government buildings this happens the testing of the syteme. By the way we were in winner's first time second time in the food court. If I could I would a...

I love this Mall. My guilty pleasure: Zara.

Zara's salespeople are very kinetic, they seem miserable but highly fashionable.

Maybe you like that insouciant salesperson who could not be bothered with you.

It actually does not bother me...I prefer to roam the store looking for bargains and as a former Saleswoman in the same Mall, I know that you are not necessarily treated very well in these multinational corporations-- I understand their nonchalance.

If you are the type that needs a salesperson to follow you throughout every step of your journey through the store...to tell you how fabulous you look in those pants that are three times too small 🙄 you need to Not go to Zara.

All the other stores like Laura have a completely different vibe.

Most people are not hanging out at Malls anymore. So, people go in, try on an outfit.. remember the size and the price, THEN BUY IT ONLINE!

It's a hard time to be a...
