#November-2021 I have been deleting and rewriting my feedback for at least 5 time now. It is not that I am trying to faking the details with pretty sentences but I just cant find enough words to describe how amazing it is. If I could pay to give more than five stars, I will. Patience, thoughtful, professional, friendly, caring and modern. I could name much more but I will let you finish the rest after you give Rium the shot it deserved. "Such a great place, man" I talked to myself! P/s: Oh! If you curious what did I do. I did a perm and also have a hair cut. If you don't know their names, I am honored to introduce to you, Daniel and Maria. #Feb 19-2022 (10 AM) Alright adventurers, today I made my 3rd come back to have a quick haircut. Just for your information, the first time I went to RIUM was four months ago. I couldn't go to the gyms, malls, and restaurants because they all closed due to COVID. I find myself becoming lazier overtime just thinking about heading outside. However, when they start re-opening everything, quite frankly, RIUM accidentally comes first in my mind. Not that I really need a haircut. It is more about how I feel. I will tell you why in a moment. I noticed these details before. However, now I can put my thoughts into words to give you the picture from my perspective. I will also quickly explain why I think it is important details. I saw many families with children from around the age of 5 in RIUM's salon. Not only that but also people around the age of 40. Finally, customers around my age which is 20 (All ages are my estimation except myself). We all want to be in RIUM. To be honest, from my eyes, Daniel and Maria made it look so much like a family gathering scene where everyone finds themselves enjoying the time that they spending. Maria has positive and energetic energy. Daniel has calm and gentlemen gestures. They are both very friendly and welcoming. Do you know what I meant? Let me give you this question, how hard it is to actually attract customers in such a wide variety of ages? . Children love attention, joy, and sweets. Older people like calmness, refreshing, and great service because most of them pay close attention to small details. Finally, the youth generation likes trendy, bold, and energy. Not only that but also we are all different in personalities, same age but introvert and extrovert, 16 MBTIs, etc. Now, you can imagine what I meant when I said it is hard to have a wide range of customers because you have to exhaust yourself to fit different standards. RIUM has candies on the table, hangers, magazines, great views of the streets, cleanliness, awesome smells, good lightning, colors, etc. These are Maria and Daniel's thoughts just so they can make sure you - doesn't matter how old you are, will find your comforts in here. Never forget to mention their effort to fulfill your appointment with very thoughtful and friendly service. And how I know all of this? You will know when you visit here. So check it out! P/s: Please send them love because they will come back to South Korean for the WEDDINGGG from March 20 to...
Read moreBe aware! This salon has been open for 2 years. Most of the good reviews are for a different salon with French owners that used to be on the same address! Don't expect symmetry and service for an $80+ haircut. I had a very careless haircut with Marie. Firstly, she didn't check my dry hair and sent me to wash right away. Then, she didn't ask how short I wanted my bangs and only spent about 40 minutes in total. After I noticed that the left and right sides of my hair were not the same length, I complained. She invited me back to the salon to fix it. The second time, it lasted maybe 12 minutes in total, resulting in the upper layer being cut too short and the asymmetry persisting. I told her right away, and she said it was just different parts of the hair. When I checked at home, it was clear that the sides were still uneven. I complained again, and she replied that it's the best she can do and that it's what I asked for. I asked for a refund of my $90 ($80 + tips), but she said it's not a product, it's a service, so no refund. After that, she ignored my messages. So I had to call and talk to Daniel, who seemed more professional. I went back to the salon for the third time. He tried to fix my hair, but it turned out that the left side had different thickness. He spent about 30 minutes, but my haircut is still a mess. There's nothing much to do other than wait for them to grow and have a ponytail for the whole summer. Just save your time and money and go somewhere else. P.S. Wow, an outrageous comment from the owner that shows "the service" and how they treat their...
Read moreFirst, be aware of the price! When I reserved online, the price for balayage is $250. When I arrived, I showed Marie the colour I want, she started right away WITHOUT telling me any additional fee she was about to charge. So in my head, I think the price I had to pay is only $250. BUT I end up paying $450+tax+tips, which is $600. I was sitting there for 4 hours and exhausted. I had other schedule in the afternoon, so I do not have time to argue with her.
Also, there is another thing I do not understand. My hair was bleached only ONCE. The length of my hair is around my shoulder. However, my friend, who has much longer hair and bleached 3 times, was charged the SAME price.
Second, despite of the price, the result is not ideal either. I asked for grey tone. The result: grey, green, yellow, brown. After 2 washes (with purple shampoo), my hair turns to greenish brown. Nobody did notice I had my...
