I sincerely do not understand the bad reviews.
Short story: Thank you to Boris and Yasser (sorry if wrong spelling) who stayed with me pass business hours after I presented myself 7 mins before closing. They made sure all my needs and questions were answered.
Thank you Alex and Kim who coordinated and collaborated for 3 hours with my carrier so the deal they gave me (carrier) would be honoured at Best Buy. Alex helped me back in March and so did Kim back in November. The same great service.
Also thank you to all the employees who take their time to answer my many, many questions. I am always eager to learn and they provide clear and precise answers.
Long story: Alex, thank you for you excellent service back in March 2018 from the mobile section. Thank you for spending over 2 hours collaborating with my carrier back in March. Fast forward to November, Kim from the mobile section also provided me with the same high quality service all that during the cyper Monday sales (the store was quite busy).
Now, this one is for Boris and Yasser (sorry if wrong spelling). They stayed with me pass business hours after I presented myself 7 mins before closing (never have I thought that I would be that client given my experience in customer service. It's just not cool but they were!) I had to purchase a laptop (urgent for work) and they not only gave the usual excellent service but went BEYOND. They made sure I understood my bill, answered all my questions with clarity. I left the store at 9:30 PM.
Also thank you to all the other employees who always provided me A1 service and taking the time to deliver knowledge and the best information. I am a customer that asks a lot of questions because I am eager to learn.
Overall great team, great people.
PS Fun story. Last week I asked an employee from the computer section if I should go with a surface Pro or a Macbook Pro. During the ENTIRE time I was recommended the surface Pro 6 for its versatility. On my end, I started to make fun of MacBook Pro because well it makes no sense to buy a Macbook Pro unless one uses special programs. At some point I asked him which laptop does he have and he says : " I have a Macbook Pro." We both had a good laugh from...
Read moreBought a Smart Watch 3 days ago on 03/31. Yesterday I find the band is defective (the physical watch itself was in perfect condition) I went to the store and they were rude, unhelpful and refused a refund despite being in my legal right to ask for one . I told them that at the price I paid I didn't trust the build quality and would prefer a refund in order to wait until my phone contract ends and I'll go back to Apple and get an Apple Watch. They put the blame on me and acted as though they were doing me a favor by even offering an exchange and that under normal circumstances I should have dealt with the manufacture. All this for a product that I bought 3 days ago.
After the service I received here I will certinally you will not be getting my next phone here.
When I told them that I have returned items to Amazon in the past the store manager told me that they aren't amazon and next time I should shop there (which I gladly will do from now on).
This store is not worth dealing with unless you are either making an impulsive purchase or just simply can't wait 24 hours for Amazon to ship it.
The time before I bought a pair of Jaybird Bluetooth headphones and when I opened the package right after leaving the store the box was empty. After 45 mins of back and forth with another rude manager who acted like I had stolen it they finally gave me another one. Thank god that I actually am an impulsive person and opened the box immediately! I could not imagine the headache I would have had to gone through to prove myself
Never, ever again will I deal with BestBuy until my last dying breath. They simply do not respect the customer, customer protection laws and do not realize that they exist in a world where more and more people are shopping online.
I ended up going to another location, 40 mins out of my way, and they exchanged it without any questions. They also expressly apologized and told me that they often have complaints originating from their...
Read moreFive years ago after purchasing a broken laptop and eventually compromising for a model I didn't like and paying more money, I promised myself not to ever go back. Until I got a headset as a Christmas gift this year. I made a big mistake of going to the store to exchange it for a different one. They had headphones on display that were out of stock. The ones on the shelf were not available for test. I didn't want to refund the gift giver's credit card and buying something I can't try is out of question. I'm left with back ordering the headset I can try. I pay the difference and ask for pick up at the store. The tracking link in the email took me to an error page. Tried to call them after a couple of days but that was just another disappointment. I show up at the store in person, wait in a long line again to talk to someone. She told me they shipped my order to my address. Another annoying misconceptions of simple tasks by Best Buy's poorly qualified staff. After a long discussion I realized they have my old address from the day I bought the laptop. Obviously post Canada doesn't change the destination to my new address. The two solutions are, me spending two hours to go to post Canada across the city or wait a couple of days for them to return it and get a refund. Just to make sure if they refund my credit card and not the gift giver's, I started another interesting conversation. They told me they already paid me the original money so I just get the second half back. So confusing, right? It took me two hours to explain basic math behind a simple transaction to three different employees, one after another. Eventually they were convinced they have to refund the whole money but it wasted 3 hours of my time and ruined my better half of the day. I'm writing this review two days after all this just to make sure I'm being completely fair and calm. PLEASE AVOID BEST BUY. They should call...
