La Pistacherie — Local services in Montreal

This is a cosy little place where they sell everything you need to have a middle-eastern style tea - unhurried and with a lot of snacks. They sell nuts, and those nuts are grilled on site, so chances are, if you'll be buying them - they'll still be warm. I, personally, love peanuts and these people roast peanuts to absolute perfection. They also have grades of saltiness - you could get salted, semi-salted and unsolted. This goes to peanuts, filberts, cashews and mixes. And the main thing - freshness! We all know that stale aftertaste almost always present in peanuts, we buy in depanneurs and even large groceries. Not here though. Freshness! Same goes to other stuff this place sells. Turkish delight, for example - they have a choice of varieties - all good and fresh. They sell a lot of things I don't even know - I am not so well acquainted with middle-eastern desert culinary. And they sell herbal teas - excellent quality. And teapots, coffee pots and things like that. Prices are tolerable, service - friendly and prompt and there is this flavourful atmosphere of medieval spice shop somewhere in the middle of Istanbul...

BEST KRI-KRI MIX !! AMAZING! FRESH AND MOST IMPORTANT IS THAT THE PEANUTS ARE SO FRESH , AND THE COATING IS PERFECTLY ROASTED SO THEY ARE SINFULLY GOOD!

Product- amazing never disappointed no matter what I have bought from the store they have the best pistachios I have ever eaten!! You will not be disappointed in any of the products they’re all top of the line!!

Staff- Amazing very friendly accommodating and helpful in every way!!

I make a point of stopping at la pistacherie every time I come to Montreal. Was one of my favorite Syrian goods store. Was there today. It takes a long time to make a good customer and it takes seconds to destroy this relationship. The woman who served me was nasty. I asked her to put my purchases in a green bag but she resisted and said it was for gifts only. I explained some of the goods I purchased were a gift to my ageing mother. She made a sarcastic comment about that and grudgingly gave me the green bag. For a .25 cent bag she destroyed the...
