We're moving to a new place and decided to upgrade the '99 Whirlpool "Genie" oven. I went to CAS and met Peter Graham, Great guy. We looked at a few options and I went home to read the "reviews". The first was a Samsung, with a lovely blue oven. I went back to chat. Peter confirmed it does have a wifi feature...which we decided against. Looked at an LG, but it was a little too "sing songy" when it reached temperature. Peter was very patient. He pointed out a couple of things. First with the "self cleaning" feature ovens can get up to about 900 degrees (Farenheight?). Pretty hot - gives off some fumes that can kill birds - if you have pet birds - and over time the temperature has the potential to affect the circuit board on the dashboard. The other thing we looked at was the storage bin down below. The consistent negative reviews (LG and Samsung) tended to point out a certain flimsiness. And...no handle. Peter steered me to a Whirlpool with a steam clean function - most reviews indicated that was the way to go. And...the bottom drawer has an actual handle on it. So went with it. Also picked up a 5 year warranty. (Murphy's Law...if we have it we're less likely to need it!). @ $250 - but if the glass top or the dash board go -really the only parts that can - you're looking at almost the cost of the stove to replace without the insurance. Taking delivery later this month. It is a very nice looking stove with a huge "window" on the oven. Bottom line - Peter is great to deal with. His customer service is outstanding. Very patient. Answers questions directly. Absolutely no pressure and worked with us through the process until we found exactly what we were looking for interms of an oven. The delivery charge maybe a little higher than the nearby big box, but we worked out a good deal on that as well. So thanks. Highly recommend Peter Graham and C.A.S. ...
Read moreHad terrible experience buying my appliances at this store. I went there on Feb, 28th to buy all appliances, since I am moving to a brand new house. I chose LG as the brand for everything, placed the order and payied 30% deposit on that same day so they can manage my order for my delivery on May, 16th (almost 3 months in advance). I followed regularly with Derek the sales guy to see if everything was going ok and his answer was always, don't worry, lets talk 2 weeks before the delivery date and confirm it. So I called 2 weeks before my delivery and surprise surprise, they did not have STOCK for 2 out of the 6 appliances. I ended up having to pay FULL price on an alternative cooktop (electrolux) which Derek told me was available and set the delivery 2 days later. On the delivery day SURPRISE SURPRISE, I got a cancelation email saying unit couldn't be located at the warehouse. Called Sales and got a response only next day saying they located the cooktop and would deliver it to me next day. SURPRISE SURPISE, I get another cancelation email without any explanation. Called Sales and he couldn't explain why, he instead of me ANOTHER alternative cooktop, this time a BOSCH (500 dollars MORE) which he guaranteed to me it had same dimensions of my original LG. When unit was delivered, SURPRISE SURPRISE, this one is 1 inch larger and DID NOT FIT my countertop. Called Sales again, this time to ask for a full refund of the amount paid PLUS the 3 times they made me hire and pay my contractor to install the cooktop. They gave me the refund of the unit and NOTHING else. I strongly DO NOT recommend buying...
Read moreMy first experience back in 2021 with CAS at the Oakville location was the purchase of a washer and dryer and the entire experience was effortless. As a result of the positive experience, this year I purchased a new refrigerator and the salesman Derek was again great to deal with. However, the after sale experience has been horrible! My refrigerator was delivered Feb 1st only to find that I was missing parts and the tools to properly level and align the doors. I contacted CAS and was told I had to contact the manufacturer LG. This in itself was frustrating as I purchased my refrigerator from CAS not LG. However, as instructed, I contacted LG and despite my efforts in referencing the sales manual to the parts and tools I was missing, they sent me the wrong parts not just once, but twice! I reached out to CAS to notify them of my frustrations and advised them of LG's complete incompetence! I have been expecting CAS to rectify the situation, but they have done nothing and they have never tried to contact me to follow up. So here I am almost 4 moths later and I still have a refrigerator that I can't properly level, or align the doors! After all the problems that I have had, and my continued frustrations, all CAS had to do was send someone to my house to preform the proper adjustments. It would have taken them all of 20 minutes with the right tools and parts. However, CAS has decided to just ignore the situation. I told Derek weeks ago that I would hold off writing a review in hopes that they would address my concerns. However, my patience has worn thin...
