TLDR: Better than an average cinema experience, but underwhelming by other Cineplex VIP standards.

The VIP experience can start one of two ways . you can buy tour ticket online (at an additional cost minus some saving with a SCENE+ Membership card).If you buy online, you will be paying extra, no matter what. This is actually something that is currently in the courts from what I have heard. Buy in person at the cinema.

When you arrive, you will go in to the main entrance of the cinema but just steps inside the door, there is a Wing of the building dedicated to VIP experience.

You are greeted warmly by a staff member who can scan your tickets on your mobile device or if you have them printed out.The staff will also direct you towards your cinema.

On this occasion , I bypassed the Restaurant, so I can't comment on the offerings or service.

I saw a concession stand and was looking to get some food but the staff told me that I could have seat-service in the cinema and did not offer me an option to buy on the spot.I went in to the cinema and there was not a single staff member inside.For this movie, I was given zero opportunity to purchase concessions. I was prepared to get it myself outside in the entrance and take it to my seat. This was frustrating that i couldn't. The cinema itself that I was in was bigger(more seats) than I anticipated. The seat numbers are easy to spot. The seats are a leather like material and soft and relatively comfortable. They will recline if you lean back in them. There is no foot rest, no seat warmer and no articulating tray table. I have come to expect these features from other Cineplex VIP cinemas.

There are exclusive VIP washrooms right outside the VIP cinemas so you don't have to spend too much time away form your movie.

There are also many behind the scenes framed photos from iconic movies old and new scattered throughout the VIP common areas.

In summary, other Cineplex VIP cinemas made me have too high of expectations. If this is your only option, it is good enough i suppose. One star removed for such a horrible concession experience. One star removed for...

I went to a showing here this afternoon in the VIP section. We come here all the time and I have to say it was the worst experience my husband and I have had. We saw a 3:45 showing and arrived at the theater and got to our seats well before the alloted time they stop the seat service. With only 7minutes left till showtime we didn't see one person on the wait staff. No one asked us for our order but the onscreen announcement that seat service was ending had come on and we hadn't gotten anything to eat or drink. I had to go to the concession (following 3 other people from the theater i was in) and there were 4 other people in line and only 1 girl was serving (very slowly) Meanwhile 2 or 3 wait staff for the VIP theaters were doing something off to the side. Needless to say when it was finally my turn, I ordered standard theater food (not that there's any problem with this) but we came and paid SPECIFICALLY for the VIP service. And when I got back to my seat, with the previews almost finished at this point, my husband said that the waitress had been in there. But when he tried to wave her over she had ignored him. And finally, to top off the most perfect afternoon, once the film started playing, something onscreen was off as it was supposed to be in 3D and I thought I was going to throw up watching it or it had to do with where we were sitting. Something was wrong with the film itself and took 20 minutes into the movie for the projectionist to realize that the 3D was visually off. For lack of a better description. Super disappointed with this theater because it's honestly one of the most beautiful I've ever been to. I learned from this experience to never see a movie before 7pm. I guess the day staff can't handle it? I never post reviews for anything but I was just so disappointed and mad at this theater and these employees today. Going to the movies is not a cheap outing at all anymore. In fact, its more of a luxury these days. So to have such a bad experience, I needed it to be out there so hopefully someone who runs this theater will know and address the issue and try to fix it.
