Amazing Bins! Amazing Finds! Amazing Deals! & Amazing Staff!
I have found so many amazing deals that would have easily cost way more via Amazon or elsewhere. I’ve even found items that I never knew I needed… or even knew existed! lol
I shop the bins for the daily special pricing - from the $20 days to the $1.50 days - as well as the clothing bins and have never been disappointed - but many times I have been pleasantly shocked by what I’ve managed to find for so cheap!
I recently started checking out the out-of-bin items - which typically sell for 1/2 the Amazon price - and have had really great luck here as well, including this amazing doggy stroller which was brand new, never used, and without any issues - perhaps the original purchaser just didn’t like the colour(?) or it was too small for their dog(?)… who knows but whatever the case, big win for me!
The staff are also A-Ma-Zing! They’re very helpful, kind, and friendly while also being professional.
Staff do their best to help you as much as they can but it is, after all, a bin store that hundreds of customers rummage through on the daily so some understanding is required - the staff can’t possibly know where the two missing thinga-ma-jigs are from that TV stand you really really want to buy on $1.50 day - likely the 6th day the item has already been in the bin!
If you have the time and patience you will find that missing thinga-ma-jig but sometimes you have to spend a little more time looking if you really want the deal - only you will know how much time searching it’s worth to you. Cool fact: I have almost always found my missing pieces (and been rewarded for my patience and perseverance by getting crazy amazing things for ridiculously low prices)!
I don’t understand the “sketchy/ scammer” reviews posted. I shop here often and I have never witnessed anything sketchy going on at this store - perhaps there was a misunderstanding - I know sometimes people think a higher end “out-of-bin” item is part of that day’s pricing - like a jacket, for example - being $1.50 because they legit found it in the $1.50 bin but it turns out the jacket is actually $45. This happens because sometimes people grab things from the higher priced areas of the store and then decide, once they’re at the cheaper bins, that they don’t want to buy the item after all and just ditch it (ie the jacket) wherever they happen to be standing. Then the staff has to explain to very disappointed (and sometimes outright rude/ angry) people who thought they were getting it for $1.50 that it’s for a higher price.
Sometimes there are broken items that do get put into the bins - this doesn’t mean they’re trying to scam anyone - every customer is free (and even encouraged!) to thoroughly examine items and test that they’re working before purchasing. There are a lot of handy folks out there who may buy broken items - for the right price - that they know they can fix or are needing a part. If an item can be salvaged/ fixed/ repurposed then all the more better than it just being dumped in the landfill!
Wordy, I know, but if you’ve never been to this store and are checking out reviews to know if you should go - yes, you should go! - and just know that while some reviewers may have had bad experiences in the past the staff/ deals/ items today are all exceptional.
Just bear in mind that it is a bin store - so don’t go there expecting it to be like a regular retail store - hundreds of bargain hunters rummage through the items in the bins (which would be impossible to control) - inevitably, items get damaged, pieces get separated, everything gets messy and disorganized but that’s also why the prices drop daily.
Lastly, most of the regular folks who shop there are very nice - they’re like a little community. With staff and other shoppers alike, take the time to be nice to others and you will get the...
Read moreWent today because I was curious. The "don't open boxes" isn't enforced. Its a mess to look through, missing pieces, empty boxes, a couple chipped and broken mugs, almost cut myself on a random piece of metal.
I saw a lillebaby carrier with a "was" and "now" sticker, except the "was" price was over $250 and the most expensive one off lillebabys site is $220...so that was sketch and made me not trust any of the prices.
I'm sure with some better organization and rule enforcement this could be a better store, also noting that Amazon can also be an in-between for resale people and not just going off maybe the highest price for an item and making sure prices are actually worth it.
I overall...
Read moreAmazing Bins is a fun and unique shopping experience. Every Friday, the store receives new products that have been returned from Amazon and sells them at a lowered price which continues to drop as the week goes on. While admittedly messy, the experience can be fun and feels like a treasure hunt. You can often find good deals and frequently visit to find new items every week. The only downside would be the crowd and other customers as they can sometimes be stingy of their area while searching. Overall though, I'd recommend dropping by. You might even find something you didn't...
