This place is fantastic. Perfect for a growing market in richmond. Coffee and spro is ALWAYS on point! Questa is a gem and pulling in some mighty hours behind the bar. Make no mistake folks, 9+ hour shifts on your feet takes a toll on your body. They are closed on Sunday which completely make sense. People need rest. To the person who calls himself/herself 'the Vancouver barista' and left a review like he/she did...id love to meet you in person and talk to you about how hard it is to run a place on your own and with no other staff and to deal with the clientele like you! Richmond folk are a tough crowd. Snobbery has taken over. I was born and raised there so I know....
So damn frustrated with people like you who have no balls or make spineless comments online. Who make orders and comment about it online with little to know discussion with the barista who made the drink or the owner! Why? Cause your too scared to! 'My latte was too hot', 'I would like for there to be more people'....blah blah blah. If you are a true specialty coffee barista and have been trained properly to have actual conversations with people and baristas, you would know that you are a guest in someone else's house!
If you have negative things to say, pack up your stuff and head on down a block away to Starbucks so you can order your venti-triple pump raspberry-non fat-extra hot-extra foam-with sprinkles on top latte! We are a community that's supposed to look out for each other! To quote Russell Peters... 'Be a man! Do de...
Read moreThe coffee was okay. But poor service. The female staff did not greet nor introduce anything in the menu. But it’s okay, since I have been here before. I know what to order. The owner who used to be in the store was way nicer. But he was not here this time… I was there by 4:15pm. After I ordered my coffee, she warned me that they were closed at 5…. Right. There’s almost an hour till its closing time. She showed an attitude that was not welcoming at all. She didn’t ask whether I would want it to go or for here. She decided to put it in a paper cup for me. So she could make sure I could leave soon. I was told to leave the cafe at 4:45pm. And I was surprised … there’s still 15min to go, right? I explained that I was there to wait for a person to come by. So I was not intend to delay my departure. But she insisted that she needed to clean up. She wanted to lock the door sharp at 5pm…. Alright. I was there only for less than 30min. This’s my worst experience in a cafe. I liked their coffee, but I won’t be back for that...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem in Richmond. The owners are very friendly and passionate about providing quality baked goods and beverages. The coffee shop is tucked away inside the shopping complex. It isn't a big space but have a a few seats inside and outside available. They use great quality beans from Luna, Monogram, and Pista in their espresso and pourovers and also sell beans from those roasters. Order a pourover and you won't be disappointed because they take time to prepare it. Their baked goods are fresh and all housemade by the owner. When you do go for a visit make sure you are not in a hurry because sometimes there is only one person working the till and bar...and they also don't want to rush the quality of their service. If you have any questions about their drinks and baked goods, they are very knowledgeable. I am a huge pourover fan, but recently really enjoyed their lavender latte because it has the right balance of lavender sweetness/espresso/milk. The lavender doesn't taste artificial at all. Highly...
