HORRIBLE SERVICE...
This is in response to my review posted a few days ago for my bridal nails. Glam Nail Studio responded with inaccurate facts and so I would like to make things clear. I am so infuriated that I felt compelled to use another Google account just to address the studio's false assertions.
Regarding her compliant on my last minute change requests, I had been communicating with the studio via Instagram, and I advised them that because I was traveling from Asia to Vancouver, the time difference and days leading up to my wedding were making my schedule very hectic. However, despite this the studio disallowed my request for scheduling change. Further, I was NOT late for 20 minutes. I was late for 10 minutes and I apologized right upon my arrival. I understood that they were busy and so even when they rushed through my service and finished within my allocated time, I did not find this unreasonable and I had no issue with this. I had arrived to the studio with my scheduled service and paid for everything right after. I'm not sure why the studio would bring this up now.
More important, the basis of my initial review was on how unprofessional and unhappy I was with the actual manicure and pedicure services that I received. The studio claimed that "certain thickness was inevitable, since we placed 80+ Swarovski crystals + pearls on your set set hand nails and your pedicured toe nails." A reasonable thickness does not mean 8-9 layers that would cause unnecessary weight and damage afterwards. In fact, the thick layers tarnished the crystals that they were not even shiny or visible anymore. The 80+ Swarovski crystals may sound impressive, but looking at my manicure + pedicure, no one would think that the decors were Swarovski crystals. In any case, looking at the end product, none of my friends believed that it justified the price.
As for the price correction that the studio mentioned, my mother's manicure was $45 and mine was the remaining. From my perspective, including taxes, I paid ~$400 in total (with majority of the portion relating to my own bridal nails). There is no correction to be made by the studio. Saying it cost only $293 is actually misleading since it does not mean you only need to pay $293.
Finally, the studio claimed that the salon that I went to remove the gel "probably are not specialized in removing much of nail art this kind." I had been going to this salon for many years and I have full trust in their expertise. I also performed hard gels at their studio before and had no issues. The only reason that I chose Glam Nail Studio was because my wedding was in Vancouver and I had no time to do my nails before I fly out to Vancouver. I also relied on the positive reviews and had thought that the studio was a good place. I am posting my experience publicly with the hope that other customers can see a more complete picture of the studio's service and attitude.
To all the existing and future customers, I want to let you know that my review is genuine and I am fully honest with my experience. I have picture proofs of everything described above and in my initial review. Whether you choose to believe me or the studio is your choice, but I would really urge you to think twice before doing service there.

Read moreI've been going to Glam Nail Studio for over a year now, and have been Chiha's client since the beginning of my nail journey. I cannot rave enough about this studio and Chiha's talent, but I'm going to try and review everything in detail here.
The studio: It's clean, stylish, and bright. They're always playing something interesting on the large TV, ranging from serial television, to new movies, to classic anime movies, or a new anime series. The chatter is friendly and the other clientele always bring a nice vibe, too. They're able to accomodate parking for longer visits, and all the other stylists help one another if need be. I find the vibe of the studio absolutely relaxing and never fails to bring my mood up after my appointments. The chairs are comfortable and they have stands for your phone.
They also always have interesting and beautiful products for sale, I carry the Hello Kitty hand cream everywhere I go and pick up cuticle oil after my appointments when needed.
Also, the owner Keiko is so lovely and supportive of her staff, and friendly and kind. Very knowledgeable on her craft as well which always reassures you when you have a question or a nail issue. When I had a nail incident (my own fault) the staff and Chiha helped me through it gently and carefully to ensure it would heal properly. I felt fully supported through that process and in good hands, as I always do.
I am a fiercely loyal client of Chiha, and she is an absolute treasure and gift in my life. Her work never fails to make me feel fabulous every single day, and she has, without fail, always executed my vision perfectly for every set I've gotten. Every month we're trying a new style, a new idea, and I'm always blown away by the attention to detail and pure talent that she has. She has a deep passion for her work that comes out in every set we do together! When it comes to anime, videogame, and portrait nails, she is a genius and always does an amazing job at portraying not only the portraits and requests, but the actual themes of the content. Chiha will bring her own ideas to my sets that I wouldn't even think of and always brings them to the next level.
Not to mention she is so kind and professional, it's always lovely to chat about the latest things we're watching and the events we'll be attending in the city. When you're spending a good couple hours in the chair, it's important to have some good chats.
Chiha is on a level I never thought possible, and I feel very lucky to be her client!
You look at your nails all day every day, and it is pure bliss to look down and see an object of your affection painted to perfection on the smallest canvas. Or the most gorgeous and sparkly designs and charms glittering away. They have an amazing selection of charms, gems, and other cute things, and if you have an idea that they don't have on hand? Then Chiha or the other staff will somehow whip it up for you!

Read moreI've been going to Glam Nail Studio regularly for a year now, and I couldn't be happier with their exceptional service!
From day one, every nail technician I've worked with has been incredibly friendly and professional. The studio is always clean and comfortable, creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes each visit a pleasure. Not only that, but the service is consistently phenomenal, with the nail technicians going above and beyond to ensure your satisfaction every step of the way.
In particular, I have to rave about Kana, my regular nail tech for manicures — she's an absolute gem! Kana has an incredible talent for bringing my design ideas to life in a way that's even better than I imagined or have seen online. She takes meticulous care of my nails, ensuring they are done safely and without damage. Kana's kindness, patience, and artistic precision make every appointment a delight, and her attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly set her apart! It's evident she takes pride in her work, and I always get compliments on my nails. I truly appreciate her outstanding service, passion, and professionalism.
For pedicures, while the technician tends to differ each time, the service is always top-notch. I used to have a tendency to squirm during pedicures and found the process rather uncomfortable — that is, until I started getting them done at Glam Nail Studio. The attention to detail and the gentle care that the technicians provide have completely changed my experience. With a meticulous approach, they take their time with shaping and are very gentle, ensuring that each step is as comfortable as possible.
Overall, there's a reason why Glam Nail Studio is a local favorite and highly recommended — it's hands down the best place for nails in the area. If you're looking for a fantastic nail studio that combines friendly service, a welcoming environment, and stunning nail designs,...
