Freak Lunchbox — Local services in Saint John

Made an online order. The selection in great but sells out fast. The staff was really nice whenever I phoned in (I live in another city). My issue and the reason of the 3 stars is the fact that when they ran out on a certain product, I got refunded without notice. I phoned in to ask what's up and what product is sold out. I told them that I don't want a refund and would like to choose another option instead, but they packed the order and couldn't do anything. That's a major deal breaker for me as it's a gift for my wife that is going into labor next week and I wanted to treat her with a little something for how strong she was during the pregnancy. I work in a made to measure high end clothing store. When we have a fabric that is backorder or not available anymore (because yes I understand that it happens, my issue is not there), we don't do a refund without prior notice, we do a follow up with the customer and present different options including the refund. I'm overall sad because I understand that the product is sold out, but I did pay for it at first on Monday April 5th and it got sold out on the 10th? So even paying for a said product don't guarantee the reception of it when it's in stock product? My wife loves cream soda and that's a reason why I choose the product. Anyways, I'm still happy for the rest of the order, I'm expecting it and I know my wife will love the gift, but it's definitely not a fully satisfied customer...

My first time in Freak Lunchbox and I had so much fun! There are candies here that brought me back to the days of penny candy. Staff is friendly and just as much fun as the shop itself.

Everything is set up in an orderly fashion and "kids" are encouraged to just fill their bags with whatever they want from the bins; it's all the same price. How much fun is that?!

Every time I walk into this store I am greeted with enthusiasm! The staff here are so friendly and fun! The shop itself mirrors that same feeling, with a variety of candy in every colour, nostalgic lunchboxes for every age, jokes to take home and share the laughter and fun, along with rare candy finds and chocolates from around the world! Not to mention, they have hands down, the best window display in the city! If candy’s not your thing, still drop by; you never know what you might find, and you’re guaranteed to leave...
