Amazing how much good quality food is packed into this small space. This is not your usual convenience store. It has real variety and surprisingly good quality. The store is open 365 days a year and I have never been in when the owner and her brother are not working. I have always found them polite and helpful, despite the hours they work. This is a tough business to make any money in especially when you have a cheap no frills nearby, (which is only cheap because they squeeze suppliers and employees). So support your local small businesses whenever you can! Or they won't be there when you need them on Canada day or when you just don't want to deal with the big alternatives. And smile at your local business owners even if (especially if) it may seem like they are having a bad day. You do not know what kind of customer they may have had to deal with 10 minutes before...

In my experience, the elderly lady stationed at the counter has always charged me higher prices at the checkout or given me less change in return while paying in cash. I don't think it's a matter of her making mistakes; instead, I believe it's intentional. A friend of mine also had a similar experience, which he shared with me after I was asked about this store.
