I was looking for a specific yarn that was out of stock on the website, so I reached out via email. The team went above and beyond—they contacted the distributor to get an estimated restock timeline and offered to place a special order for me with a deposit. The entire process was seamless, and once the yarn arrived, they shipped it out right away. Excellent customer service from start to finish. I highly recommend The Knit Café and will definitely be ordering from them again.

I took the Knitting 101 class at the Knit Cafe over the last 4 weeks and left with the skills to make a scarf, hat and fingerless gloves. I feel confident to attempt knitting basic patterns on my own. Our teacher was an absolutely lovely, patient, clear and kind person to spend 2 hours a week with. I will take more classes here and recommend them happily to anyone who asks. As someone who has wanted to learn how to knit for years, I am overjoyed. Thank you!

I have enjoyed shopping, taking classes, teaching a class and having a show at the Knit Cafe over the last twenty years. They are great champions of keeping textile arts alive and available to the beginners to advanced students. Congratulations!

I went in and the staff was helpful but I was hoping for more of a selection. They have lots of Brooklyn tweed so if thats what your into - great! I walked away with a couple skeins of arbour. The rest of the shelves seemed bare. The lady said they just had a shipment of hedgehog in. I didn’t look at the needles and notions because I didn’t think they had any it wasn’t until after I realized they were upstairs, cute store and I’ll shop again but rather then making the big trip down there I’ll use their website and order online. Their website is all up to date with lots of...

This is probably my least favorite yarn shop in Toronto. I went in during summer and when I asked for help, I was met with the attitude that it was strange to be knitting in summer, and that I should come back in September. I was also disappointed that it is not actually a cafe. It was tiny and there was only a table at the back where the staff where doing some planning, so there's really no place to hang out and knit like I'd expected from the name, and no cafe items available at all. The selection is small and pricey. But if you want Brooklyn Tweed yarn, this is the...

I took a needle felting class and I had so much fun! The felting instructor Diana was very experienced and it was a nice group of students learning this craft together. I will say that the chairs are too low compared to the table and it was not an ergonomic position for me to sit there for 2 hours poking my needle. I'm honestly not sure if the chairs are meant for children, but they are very low to the ground as well, (I am small build and 5'6) but I felt it put strain on my shoulders. Nice selection of wool. I went home very satisfied with what I...
