I was hesitant to write a review or not, but I decided to do so. Laline at Eaton Centre always looks so pretty and welcoming so I decided to go check out what they have. Soon after going in the store, one of the associates agressively started forcing me to smell random products. I asked her about scrubs so she started to put (not exaggerating) every product at ONCE on me.... all the scrubs, oils, soap. Couldn't even wash my hands before I got the next product, that I didnt even ask for. Then I finally got her to stop, dried my hands and she put on 4 different creams on my hand in a breath. I wanted a shower oil, which she showed me and said it is under $10 with the sales they had at the store. I believed her, didn't double check because why would she lie? Turns out it was $20 not $10... I finally made my decision, which was difficult without getting a second to think, she didn't want to accept the answer that I dont want to purchase other products, took her 2 minutes to finally stop. Then she said she will give me that little scoop for my body scrub, just for me. Turns out she didn't just give it to me, she charged me for it. Even though the products seem great, this aggressive and lie to make a sale attitude ruined the experience. Not going back to the Eaton Centre...
Read moreMy sister purchased a couple of bath bombs from this location of Laline. The products are great however the same cannot be said about the store manager. There was a conflict of interest in terms the store's political ties to a disputed region in the Middle East. As a customer I am entitled to my opinions and a return should not be made difficult as a result of these beliefs. My sister made the choice to return the bath bombs and the store manager said that the credit card did not match up. She did not even let her try before demanding that the credit card must match up to make the return repetitively. That seemed reasonable but she kept repeating it until one of the associates told her that Apple changes the credit card number on their app for security reasons. She still demanded to see the transaction on the credit card and my sister complied. She seemed hesistant about the whole transaction because she could have let her try and it would be declined if it were not the correct card anyway. She would not lose anything but the way she reacted hinted that she was taking the return very personally. I don't run a business but I know the basics of customer sevice and THAT was no way to treat a customer let alone a new one. Her behaviour was not only argumentative but...
Read moreIt was a TERRIBLE experience that I got from Laline Fairview Mall in Sheppard Ave. It was my first time shopping with Laline as my friend recommended me. As I remember, her name was Fenny or something, and I think she's the manager with her attitude towards her co-worker. The rolling eyes, I still remember it which she gave to the other employee. The other employee didn't push me much to buy others and then the manager hopped in, giving the eyes to her employee. I came in just to buy 1 Dead sea scrub where there is 20% off. But she was pushing me to buy another 2 products in the offer of buy one and get another one for 60% off were the Dead sea is not included. I kindly told her that I am not interested in buying other 2 products and I told her that I just only need the scrub. She wasn't buying what i was saying and blah blah blah. She was exhausted because I didn’t want to go with other products. Then I excuse her for a minute and left without buying the scrub.
Later next day I went to the Laline in Eaton centre from where I got what I intended to.
This is not the way to approach a customer and also I feel bad for the employees under her. It was one of the worst experiences I faced in a while. What really wonders me is she’s a...
