Long story short, I bought an "open box" Honeywell tower heater on a Monday. I asked the store clerk if I can bring it back to the store for a refund just in case it doesn't work. I was told I can. Plugged in the Heater at home and it started making a rattling noise.
Packed up the heater and brought it back to the store on Tuesday. I was offered a replacement heater right away. I requested a refund instead. The clerk who confirmed the previous day that I could get a refund, simply said that they only offered a refund on unopened products and the fact that I opened the box, I won't get a refund. How can I open a box when it was bought as an "open box" item in the first place?
As I was questioning the clerk a bit more, the store manager(AJ presumably) jumped in the conversation and said he doesn't give refunds. I asked why and all he said was "I clearly told you last night that there aren't any refunds on heater purchases". (I never dealt with him during my purchase and only spoke to the clerk right from walking into the store until payment).
But I kept pushing for a refund, AJ then insults me by asking "Can you read English? On your receipt it clearly says no refunds". I pointed out that the no refund policy on the receipt indicates that it applies to new products being opened and used, however my purchase was "open box" to begin with. In the end he agreed to give me 75% of my money back saying that the remaining 25% is a re-stocking fee. This was really unfair in my opinion, as all he had to do was put up the heater for sale again under the "open box" category.
It's a shame I had to go through this because I had initially walked into the store after reading all the positive google reviews. Maybe I am in the wrong. Maybe I misunderstood their refund/replacement policy, but I certainly did not deserve to be insulted by the store manager AJ and be charged a 25% fee. It says a lot about this business.

Every great business knows that if they take good care of their customers in a friendly and professional manner and HELP THEM FIND what they are looking for, and give them a good deal that the customer wouldNbe HAPPY WITH, they will come back to them in the future again and even refer new customers to them.
With that said, My experience at this store location with AJ and Abdul was a great one. They are very friendly, professional, polite and caring. They actually do care about giving you the best possible deal that they can, to make you a happy customer. So there is absolutely no reason at all, that they would be rude to anyone.
Any negative reviews written on here, was written most likely from a bitter/revengeful customer, that purchased something, used it for a while, wanted to return it back and get a full refund but did not succeed. You cannot do that. They cannot accept used items and resell them as NEW. That would be against the store business ethics and policies.
So this is most likely why the customer(s) is writing a bad review, because they couldn't get a refund on their item that was already used for a long time. Because how would the next customer feel knowing that they bought an already used item but thought it was NEW? So they have every right to not accept a USED ITEM back in the store for re-sell.
I give AJ and Abdul and this store location, 5 STARS. I would be more than happy to come again for future purchases. These guys have positive and friendly personalities. I highly recommend...
Read moreI strongly recommend you not shop at this store. The service is poor, they sell old and faulty products under the guise of open box and do not adhere to their policies. I purchased a laptop from these crooks and after 1 day I realized that the laptop was faulty. I went back to the store to get an exchange but after checking their current stock, there was nothing that really appeased me. I then requested a refund but to my surprise they were adamant that they would only do an exchange or store credit. Mind you this, on their website and the receipt, it states that "refund will be issued within 7 days based on purchase price for DEFECTIVE ITEMS." These people have no manners or respect for their customers, all they care about is trying to con people out of their hard earned money.
