I live in the immediate area and a few years ago I would have given them at least 3 stars. But what was already a mediocre experience is now terrible. Where do I begin? Well here's a big one; I'm 99% sure they do all of the following: theu buy the old produce from other grocery stores in the area that those stores are no longer willing to sell and then they repackage it for a minimal discount. They place stickers over blemishes on the products, and in some cases have even taken expired salad kits, opened them and repackaged them in unmarked produce bags. Some of their produce is brand new and fresh, but these products are priced well above food basics which is directly next door. We barely buy anything from them anymore because the quality of their produce is so poor and is typically completely spoiled within a day. They also take berries that are spoiled, remove a few from the top layer and put fresh ones on the top to lead you to believe the whole package is fresh. They leave heaps of produce that should be refrigerated and place it out in the heat and direct sunlight for the entire day attracting bees and wasps. Their grapes are just compost. Apart from the cashier, nobody speaks English or can answer even basic questions. And last but not least, the girl that works the cash in the evening is very rude. She used to be friendly but the pandemic seems to have worn her out. Asian fruit markets are usually a treasure trove of deals and unique fruits and vegetables, but this place...

I went again the next day to buy some lemon and ginger, when I went to the counter, the cashier said for a payment of less than $10 you have to pay cash. I didn't had cash, so I bought strawberry, and banana again. When I came home I wanted to make smoothie, when I opened the strawberry pack, it smelled. I thought how come? They're fresh and I have just bought this just yesterday. When I cut the strawberries in two, they're were all spoiled. I opened the new pack that I had bought few minutes ago and checked that, that was also rotten and had white things on them. I throw both packs to garbage.
Then I just remembered that when I was in the shop, I saw the cashier that was opening and touching and repacking the strawberry packs and then I understand that she was putting the good side of strawberries outside for people to see and the rotten part inside.
I checked the blueberry and bananas, they were fine but when I checked the pineapple, it was also rotten at the bottom.
They're scamming people by selling ruined and rotten...
