I’ve read all the reviews, and I’d say the people who have negative reviews have some legitimate points, but I think some people just have very high expectations and are being unfair to the branch in a general way.
I agree that there are homeless and questionable people around, but the area is safe. The bank has nothing to do with the people that hang around or live in the area. I’ve been using this branch for over three years, and I’ve never had a negative experience. The tellers, although they do change often, are friendly, they always take care of my banking needs in the most efficient and professional way, and I never leave without the tellers asking me if they can assist me further, and they always thank me for my business with a smile on their face. I don’t see any unprofessionalism at this branch at all. I’m so happy with this branch, I try my best to always use this branch. It’s not any more busier than any other branch. No matter what branch I go to, it’s all comparable. The tellers are not any slower than the tellers at other branches. I find it’s the clients that use this branch coming up with stupid questions and trying to do unusual interactions that take a long time, it’s definitely not the tellers or the managers. I’ve been banking with this bank a long time, long before it became TD Canada Trust, and this branch is one of the best. Thank you the staff at the Parliement and Carlton branch. Keep up the...
Read moreI find this branch subpar. I have used at least four different branches in the city and this one is the worst. I know a little about the standards TD set and this one is not meeting them. There is a man who is frequently working behind the service counter but I think is a customer service manager, not a CEA. He always looks grumpy and unwelcoming. So, not a friendly experience in general. However, one of the last times I went in for loonies and they were out. It was a Thursday, I believe, and they weren’t going to have more until the following Wednesday. That seems like really poor planning on their part. If there was another branch closer to me I would never go here. The actual service (usually young women) is pretty good once I get to the counter, but before hitting the counter I do not feel welcome regardless of who is working. They are supposed to acknowledge you when you enter with at least a smile. This loonie things on top of the atmosphere was just so bizarre to me, it seems worth letting others know. ETA: there is often a wait at this...
Read moreApril 1st - The staff here were condescending and incredibly rude to me after all my ID and cards were stolen. I went I. To get some advice about what I needed to do to protect myself and initially they treated me with suspicion instead of just giving me the advice I needed to protect myself. I am a person of color and I had to wonder if the bad service and poor treatment instead of compassion for someone who had just gone through some thing traumatic was due to this. The advice I received over the phone was much better. Avoid this branch if you can.
April 15 - I went into the branch to have a meeting with the manager Danny. He is new to the branch and was extremely helpful with advice and fixing the errors that his employees had made with my accounts. I hope he is successful in bringing up the branch’s standards.
Avoid dealing with Patrick. He is rude suspicious and at best unfriendly. He does not seem to understand that his job includes customer service. I can’t imagine the other employees can be comfortable working I. The...
