WOW. Best lunch I’ve had in ages. I thought Farmer’s Leaf Market & Café had expanded but when I arrived I learned it’s actually 2 separate but complementary businesses.

Met the owners, super friendly and nice, good vibe, cool relaxing atmosphere.

I ordered a salad and bruschetta from Farmhouse Café and while I waited for my order to be prepared, shopped the Farmers’ Leaf – if you like real cream without additives, find it here but order in advance or it sells out, pickup is every Thursday. Also get farm fresh eggs, bread, honey, microgreens, field garlic and a fantastic selection of homemade pies ($35) or a mini like I had – Sour Cherry & Raspberry Ice Cream tart with chocolate crust. I had to order dessert, obviously it was for work so my hands were tied, had to do it ... yum!

The Farmhouse Café has soups, salads and desserts, many vegan and gluten free. SO GOOD. Super fresh and flavourful salad with spinach, mix of lettuce, lots of glazed almonds, orange sections, sesame, avocado, cucumber ... really, really good combo of flavours with outstanding homemade pomegranate vinaigrette. The Garlic Sesame Bruschetta is also very good – fresh take and nice flavour – not the same old, same old. It was light with bits of avocado and microgreens. The bread was better than the usual you get and together very enjoyable.

I’m happy to recommend both these shops and look forward to going back. You will enjoy too – you can really taste the difference of quality...

LOVE THIS PLACE! The market has so many fresh staples (all locally sourced!!), in house grown microgreens and some really fun in-house freeze dried ice cream and fruit. The cafe by Purple Pantry is a must visit! Sandwiches are oh so satisfying, so FRESH, homemade soups, and you can't leave without taking a baked good (the chocolate chip cookie was extra special). I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures but it's cause I was busy devouring everything. Stop by for your go-to fresh kitchen items and grab a delicious meal and/or dessert while you're at it! I love this shop! I have the privilege of trying their freeze dried good, and microgreens - DELICIOUS. I love how much care and thought goes into the products produced here, and the love for donkeys, with amazing owners. It's hard to pick favorites, but some that I really enjoyed here: sunflower microgreens, mustard microgreens, freeze dried raspberries, freeze dried cheese, the freeze dried mint chip ice cream was awesome too! I haven't tried everything...
