Burcu's Angels — Local services in Vancouver

Burçu is the owner of this vintage clothing store, and she is the reason why this store is so special. Of course, many customers go there for the thrill of the find, or when looking for a one-of-a-kind item, or when searching for a specific retro-looking outfit. All of this is possible there, but what makes Burçu's Angels special is the lady herself. She has great taste when selecting each and every item on display, and this is evident everywhere you look. But it's her character, and her friendly approach, that captivates everyone. Burçu receives donations from many people that know of her, and her preference for anything vintage and classy. Once she receives the clothes, she will decide what makes the cut, the rest goes to a "free" bin outside her store; on my last visit, that bin was attracting a lot of attention. Then there's the stories, not only of clients, but also of the deceased and their donations, with photos of them that put a human face to the clothes, shoes and accesories. A homage to the former owner's good taste and personality. Come to Burçu's Angels (with your face mask) and take the time to meet and what with the lady that has made this possible. 5 stars is not enough. If I had big enough hands, I'd take all the stars in the sky to give to this place. I find myself intimidated or uncomfortable in smaller stores. It's usually very quiet and strangely tense. However, this place was an exception. I was immediately welcomed with kindness, invited to try stuff on, the staff were super awesome and friendly, I was celebrated and hyped up when trying on outfits- it was fantastic. I ended up coming back to buy something. Burcu was incredibly kind and I have never felt so welcomed into any store. It doesn't feel boutique-y, it just feels amazing. A little gem. The person who owns this store is a god send! My mom was looking for a cocktail dress & after trying on a few that didn’t quite work, the owner made some wonderful recommendations my mom ended up purchasing.

I appreciate this person’s patience, observational skills and knowledge in knowing what cuts and sizing would work. I was also so happy with how confident she made my mom feel in the pieces!

This store also has free items for youth 18 & under which I thought showed how much this person cares about their community.
