Greens Organic and Natural Market — Local services in Vancouver

This store is a hidden gem in Kitsilano. It is a low-key, well-stocked grocery store. They seem to put effort into stocking quality groceries.

I particularly appreciate the individualized service at the meat counter.

This store gives the kind of service you might expect in a small community where the store staff know their customers, and is a real find here in the city.

Due to my work schedule, my favourite beef options are sometimes sold out when I am able to shop. Greens meat counter staff allow me to order ahead of time, even days before, and they set some aside for me to pick up later. Where else do you get custom service like that?

Special thanks to Brendan, already consistently cheerful and efficient at preparing my orders several times before, who last week managed to find some special ground beef when he wasn't sure it was possible. I was pleasantly surprised when I picked up my order.

The rest of the Greens staff are also friendly and helpful.

I also found here less common spices or herbs such as dried cilantro, that other stores don't seem to have.

Right now this store is hidden behind the Broadway subway construction site. I recommend finding this store. I find it worth the effort.

I usually have a great experience at Greens Organic and Natural Market — most of the staff are friendly, helpful, and respectful. However, during my recent visit in the evening, I had an unpleasant interaction with an older lady with white hair, who appeared to be a manager. She had white hair and was behaving very rudely toward customers, including me.

She seemed suspicious of everyone and treated people as if they were doing something wrong, which was both uncomfortable and disrespectful. I’ve seen her on previous occasions too, and this pattern of behavior is consistent — she’s often watching people closely or following them around, creating a tense and unwelcoming atmosphere.

As a customer, this made me feel quite hurt and disrespected. I genuinely believe that someone at her stage in life should consider retirement, especially if the job seems to be affecting her attitude toward customers so negatively. It’s unfortunate because the rest of the staff are...

SHOP HERE. The staff at this store and it's general way of meeting its customer's needs, are outstanding. I recently put in an order for delivery (I usually shop in-store). As I was cooking, and waiting for the order, i realized i had put in the wrong date for delivery--the next day when I would not be home. I called to apologize, and Sean then proceeded to do the shopping immediately and deliver to me himself. I didn't ask for this, he offered it. While this is extraordinary service, it is not at all out of keeping with what I have experienced here. Re: prices--they are in line with prices in similar stores, and for my staples, the same or cheaper than some of their local competition such as Choices and Whole Food, and shopping the flyers and special days brings the prices even lower. Further, we have serious food allergies in our family, and they have been willing to source unusual items for us...
