Ordered the BBQ Pork and wontons egg noodle soup and the prawn tempura for delivery.
First thing I found great is that the broth was in its own container, the cold toppings separate and the warm toppings(noodles, wontons and pork) were also separate. This makes it so that the elements for the soup donāt end up overcooking in the broth during travel, so no mushy noodles!
Also thereās of course a lot of cilantro typically used in this type of cuisine, especially fresh as a garnish so they were very nice to not add any at my request! Unfortunately itās one of those rare ingredients I absolutely canāt handle...
The broth... I donāt even know how to describe it! Food like this needs to have a good broth for the dish to be successful and they certainly surpassed expectations! Itās got this zingy kind of warmth to it! I canāt quite pinpoint what magical ingredients they used in there, but wow was it impressive! I felt kind of tired and blah today too so this broth actually made me feel better!
As for the rest, tender juicy meat, delicious wontons, some nice bean sprouts, fresh herbs and lime to add to the whole flavour profile!
Also great quantity for the price, I still have enough for a second meal!
This was my first experience with this place and I will definitely order from here again! I would also love to go there in person one day to get the full experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame here for dinner on a friday, place was completely empty. When we got to the front and grabbed our menus, the blonde asian woman told us we could sit down at a table and someone would be right with us. Which i thought was odd cause they alway make you pay upfront. So we sat down and waited for someone to come by, which obviously no one did. So we just wasted a good 15 minutes only to get back up to order at the front. Firstly what kind of restaurant does this? Make you sit down and then come back up to put in your order? They were not busy at all so they easily could have came to take the order. Quite unprofessional imo. I also ordered pho, which hardly had any taste. Absolutely disappointing. Like is your broth box made? or powder made? I didnt even finish it, thats how sad it was. And she didnt even give my bean sprouts and thai basil that comes with it. So once again i had to get up to tell her i didnt receive it. Oh but she ended up giving beans sprouts first thing to the table next to us who also ordered pho. The quality of the food is not at all good. Everything taste bland each time i come here. There are far more nicer, Authentic Vietnamese restaurants in this small city. Go else where and spend your money on food that is worth going out for. The staff at this location could definitely work on their hospitality to give this Pho Hoang...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreno complaints, very classy atmosphere. food was amazing - seemed to be quite expensive to me at first, but then you see how big the serving sizes are and the price becomes understandable. it's the type of food that isn't nearly as good when eaten as leftovers, so I recommend you bring others if you don't have a particularly big appetite. the staff were polite, but also authentic in a way that stood out to me. there was one worker who did not smile or speak much, and to many (particularly more entitled older people) this would come across as rude. honestly, I appreciated it, especially being someone who has worked in customer service. she was polite, not unkind or hostile, and I'm glad to see people are choosing to be more real in their jobs rather than adding an entire emotionally draining performance on top of their already draining fast food jobs. I hope that this becomes more normalized over time, while still discouraging workers being openly rude or taking out their emotions on customers. the other worker (who may have been the owner) was very friendly and warm, an enjoyable presence to be around, while still seeming just as genuine. lovely experience overall, a relaxing place to enjoy some good...
