Firstly, I want to emphasis that Amanda and her staff were nothing but extremely kind, professional and tried their absolute best.

I had tried to book something different for my daughter’s birthday party, she turned 11. We had a conversation over the phone where we did discuss the service and how this would still align with the pre teen girls. On the website it had said punch and pizza was included but beyond that there was little other description of what would happen. However, I figured given the girls ages it would be adapted to their needs or suggestions on what would be best.

The party space was fine however, we had to start late due to traffic and staff not being a o to arrive on time. The decorations were alright but I was hoping for a bit more. The initial start was a colouring game while the girls each took turns to have makeup and nails done. The makeup choices/colour palette was really bright colours and didn’t align with makeup trends. Same goes with the colour choices for painted nails. Amanda was super kind with each of the girls while she applied makeup and nail polish. However, the colour choices and application was bright fluorescent colours which made most of the girls embarrassed and not wanting to wear it. They had some games that they played with the girls. It was fun for the first bit but went on for so long that there was boredom from the girls. Towards the end of the party, it ended with trying to have the girls do a dance together . I could see my daughter’s face turn red and she went into the washroom and cried. I knew this wasn’t her idea nor mine of what to expect. They also advertised as a photo sessions following but had older props and no background which confused me more.

Realistically, I should have done more research. Maybe should have specified what the girls would want for the experience. I guess I assumed with the price of 398.00 plus 30 dollars extra for any guest in excess of 6 it would had been more. We are slightly disappointed and it took some time for my daughter to adjust following the party as she was worried about her friends experience and also hurting my feelings because she knew it was expensive. Nonetheless, the girls came home and were able to complete their own facials, skin care, nails and makeup application on their own. Which changed the evening. I feel if wanting to have a party definitely consider the age of your child, I could see this as a fun experience for way younger girls. And I take responsibility for not doing my research more and setting my own expectations. I really didn’t know what to expect. I feel this could be an amazing concept if they up’d their products, streamlined the agenda, were better prepared for the party ahead of time and focussed on catering to the age group. I would just like to say thank you for such an amazing job that you’ve done. The spots on my face that look like bruises. The way you covered them up made me get my self-esteem back. It made everybody remember the old me and build my confidence. Thank you for showing me how to apply the make up so I could do it at home by myself.I was very shy coming in and I left with the confidence that I had in me all along. I have gone into other salons, make up stores and had other people look at my skin. the way that they judged me was so uncomfortable but with you guys I liked that it was a personal relationship. every time I’ve come in I have left happier and more and more confident. The birthday party that you had thrown for my daughter was out of this world. Because of the pandemic we couldn’t have another party like that this year but the girls had definitely asked. They loved the fact that every single one of them felt like they were princesses. They love the fact that they got to feel so special. Thank you so much for your services. I booked this company for my wedding day. Not only was I lied to when I asked the reason as to why they needed my credit card, but they also put charges on it without my permission. While this issue was eventually solved, the overall experience was just not good. I was originally quoted one estimate which made me go with them. At my trial, I found out their actual prices but by then I already put down a $600 deposit that I was not willing to lose so reluctantly I stayed with them. I also did not like the end results on my wedding day (despite having a trial and discussing what went wrong and what I liked). This goes for both my hair and make up. I had half of my bridesmaids and both of the moms not happy with their results as well. I will say, Amanda (the girl in charge of my account and wedding day) was very professional and respectful through the whole process which helped ease my stress.
