New York Fries St. Vital — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Usually a great experience, unfortunately today was the opposite of every other time I have been there.

It was close to closing and I asked the girl if they were closed. She said no and took my order. She then proceeded to takes fries directly out from the deep fry and poured them into the poutine container, straight from the basket over top of the garbage.

This is a health and safety concern for me. As there was hot oil dripping from the basket and food being prepared over the garbage.

I would have preferred if she would have said they were closed. I ended up throwing out my poutine because there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the container.

Hopefully this employee receives further training on proper food...

Absolutely horrible specifically asked for no onions,and it was even on the receipt saying no onions but was completely soaked in them! Second I ordered a double bacon poutine and there was no bacons but beans ?!??!?!?!?! IT DOESNT EVEN CALL FOR BEANS . I previously called before my order and they said closed at 9 once I received and saw the horrid nasty looking food I immediately called and the staff was absolutely disrespectful and tried saying they were already closed! It was 830 at the time . I would honestly love a refund as it went in the garbage cause it was so...

I am new to Canada, and I wanted to try the famous poutine, so I went over to the nearest place I could find. I ended up at this New York Fries Location. I was a little perplexed looking at the options on the menu, and since I am a vegetarian, I wanted to make sure that the selections I made were vegetarian. Shrey helped me through the whole process.
