Upon entering this establishment, we were greeted with the much less then attentive staff that provided us a good view of there back for three minutes before we were served and provided lanes. As we came to our lane we saw that this super star of the bowling lanes had misspelled one of our groups names. The shoes provided would have fit snuggly if I happened to have a tumor bulging out of the top of my foot. Lacing the shoes like a football still rendered them loose enough to slip off like sandles. Our group had decided to lighten the mood by slipping a few quarters into the jukebox, but once again was met with disappointment as the music was barly audible over the lanes speakers. After five minutes of rolling the music was then cut off, a little unimpressed after examining the back of the lanes staff for another few minutes, I asked why the music had been turned off. The response was initially a lie, with the staff claming that the music was not turned off, then replaced with "we have league bowling tonight so we can't have the music too loud" exasperated I then requested a return on the money, to no avail, that I had spent to listen to music off of a jukebox that clearly should have been shut down or at least had a notice as to not use it until after league time. Trying to make the best of a bad situation, instead of walking out on our pre-paid games, our group began to joke and entertain each other with stories and anecdotes. Into our third game we are then approached by the staff who claimed that our being there was losing them business and if we didn't "keep it down" they would have to ask us to leave. Dakota Lanes. The place where fun...
Read moreWorst service, owners not flexible on the “6” person rule with 3 year olds. I made a reservation for 2pm and they would not let one of the 3 year olds share. I had even offered to pay for every player still. Extremely disappointed. Went somewhere else that would accommodate. Never going back here. I expect companies to do better and be flexible. Not only that, I had multiple people chime in on the conversation which was extremely unnecessary. Rude people and terrible service.
Also take a peak at the owners response below - not taking accountability for their poor service and ganging up on customers. No one had any drinks, the kids had toys in their hands. I also wasn’t getting “mad” at their staff, I was trying to figure out how to make it work with an extra kid (who was 3), and still asked to pay for them. The owners were extremely unreasonable and because of their poor service we had to take 5 upset kids somewhere else. Dakota bowling lanes forgets who the customer is and who pays...
Read moreJust felt like I should share my experience I had this morning. Right at 10:00am, I called to check how busy the lanes were that day and if there was any space for my family. I was told over the phone it was busy but if I came in the next 15 minutes, I could get a lane. I also specified I wanted 5 pin because I’m bringing a 2 year old.
When I got there just before 10:15am, I was told there was no lanes available. I mentioned how I just called a few minutes ago but the person I spoke to on the phone didn’t ask for my name when holding a lane…
So because the person I spoke to on the phone didn’t take my name we weren’t able to bowl.
I totally understand it’s busy but why tell someone to come in, If you’re not...
