Departamentos Pontoni — Local services in Providencia

I rented an apartment here for one week, it is the second time I have done this type of accommodation in Chile. The location is magnificent, only seconds from a metro station that will take you anywhere. There is also a great variety of superb restaurants within minutes, as well a some casual places to eat. There is bank and a very nice grocery also within seconds. Now the negative. The apartment is not well maintained. There are 3 lights in the bathroom, only 1 is working. Several in the living room, again, some not working. The shower bracket was coming out of the wall, the handle to open the front door also coming off the door, and the soapdish in the bathroom also coming loose. Sr Pontoni should hire someone to come to this apartment and do some maintenance work. Also, it is only mediocre cleaning. When I arrived there was dust on the floors, the hanging light in the kitchen had never been cleaned, it looked like fur growing on it. Same with the fan in the bathroom-- never ever cleaned, layers of "fur" on the vent. But having said all this, would I stay here again, yes. It is about location. The bed was comfortable and the roof pool deck is wonderful. No one speaks any English at the office, but they were very nice and helpful. If you want location and can roll with these few items, stay here. If you want impeccable cleanliness, this is not for you. The last apartment I rented with another company had a table and chairs on the balcony as well as stereo in the main room and air conditioning-- this apartment had none of...

I found this hotel with the search criteria "free airport shuttles" and booked it. Upon letting the hotel know that I needed the airport shuttle, they wanted USD $50. I explained that their Property Highlights on their Expedia page lists "free airport shuttle". This appears twice on the page, as well as appearing in the search criteria. ||||Departamentos Turpial was rude and condescending and said I obviously did not read the description correctly. I have a screen shot image clearly showing this appearing twice (I will try to post it with this review, but don't see how I can do that right now). I complained to Expedia, but they have not corrected this misleading advertisement either. Really nice place and easy to book. In the centre provdencia, with all the comfort of home and a fantastc view from the top floor. I staye dwith my wife and two children. I would never stay in a hotel now. The price to comfort is great with high speed wifi, Cable TV and a double bed for me and amy wife and a fold out for the children. I booked this the nnight before leaving and I found Pedro Pontoni very accomoding. I was to arrive ealy in the morning and leave late the next night. He was happy to accomodate the price to fit the time frame and was very easy to deal with. He speaks some english too. I will deffinately stay there everytime I go...
