We found this place by accident and didnt expect a gem like this in this neighborhood. When we looked through the windows we saw it was quite busy, and yes, there is a reason for it... it is a great place. The ambience is spacious and bright, yet a bit more on the basic side, but very clean and the chairs are comfortable. (But i think its not the neighborhood for candle light dinners anyway)
The highlights : service and food We were very friendly received and after we sat down we were quickly handed the menu form a gentleman. It didnt take long to make our choices and we had a few minutes to watch the staff. It loomed to us that they were the owners because they moved very swiftly between the tables and kept on checking the whole restaurant like eagles if any guest was missing something or needed something. You could see how much passion they have to provide good service and dont want guests to wait. When the gentleman noticed we made our choice he quickly came, and made a few suggestions The food was DELICIOUS. The meat of the stake was juicy and tender, and had a very nice, meaty flavor. The fries were hot and crisp, and the salad freshly tossed and not drowned in the vinagrette style dressing. I had a malbec, and that was pretty good as well. From a price perspective, i think it is very good value for money. After we had finished, we started talking to the gentleman, and indeed he was the manager, and his female colleague has long standing F&B experience. its hard to believe that people are not happy with the service.
They also have specials on weekdays.. great bargins like 1:1 tomahawks and other.

Service - When I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by a gentleman who offered me what seemed like the least desirable seats in the entire place. However, then came the lady waiter who was pleasant and patiently answered any questions I had about the steak. She swiftly brought my meal to the table. During my meal, a guy with a high Mohawk dropped toothpicks at my table, asking if everything was okay and checking in on the service. After that, the gentleman who initially offered me the undesirable seats returned, but he never said a word to me, even though I could hear him interacting with all the white customers. Each time he brought something to my table, it was as if he just dumped it and moved on without a care. Interestingly, there was another gentleman of color in the restaurant, and when he asked for the bill, the waiter immediately shouted, "Cash payment?" I didn't notice this type of behavior from him with other customers. When I asked for the bill, he brought the machine, I paid, and not once did he utter a word. It was evident that he could speak, but he chose not to speak to people of color.
Overall, the food was tasty, but the service left a lot to be desired. The inconsistent treatment and lack of communication from the waiter were disappointing, especially when it seemed to be based on the color of my skin. It's important for all customers to feel valued and respected, regardless of their race...
