I recently took a trip with the Alkion Glass Bottom Boat and had an amazing experience. The crew was incredibly friendly and professional especially Stavros who was very kind and helpfull, making everyone feel welcome from the moment we stepped aboard. The boat itself was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.
The highlight, of course, was the glass bottom section, which gave us a unique glimpse of the underwater world beneath us. We could see crystal-clear waters, fish, and even a glimpse of the shipwreck near the coast. There was also a swimming stop where we could jump into the refreshing blue sea, which was perfect on a hot summer day.
The tour was well-paced, informative without being overwhelming, and ideal for families, couples, or solo travellers looking for a peaceful and scenic activity around Paphos.
Highly recommended if you're visiting the area and want to enjoy the coastline in a relaxed, safe, and visually...
Read moreUpon all the research online, this boat tour had the best review. We also arrived early at the pier to confirm our findings. 1) no large tour groups on our boat, 2) the boat ride includes a couple of sights along the way where both Greek and English overviews were provided. 3) We departed and returned on schedule.
The boat was big enough to have a glass bottom and a fun slide, but not overwhelming where it felt like a commercial cruise.
We also got a small discount for purchasing tickets on the spot. The gents at the pier were very nice and didn’t try to oversell. The boat ride was very smooth and we got to enjoy the refreshing water of the lagoon. Not need to bring a snorkeling mask as we didn’t see much (goggles would suffice).
We did receive the wine, juice, and melon pieces as advertised after the lagoon. We also had some frappes and rum slushes from the bar - the bartender was friendly and made...
Read moreI booked this trip for my family (2 adults and 3 kids of 8, 6 and 3 years-old). The experience was good in general though with some pros and cons. PROS: The boat was not crowded so we could take a seat, use the toilets and, in the Blue Lagoon, used the slide whenever we wanted. The staff offers food and drinks onboard and the melon was delicious. Blue Lagoon is a beautiful place where the sea is in calm and the water is clear. This is the unique stop of the trip and lasts about an hour to enjoy swimming. CONS: Glass bottom is not worth it for adults in my opinion as you cannot see anything special though it could be nice for kids. Staff offers juices and wine to drink. In our trip, juices were off quickly and they did not refill them. They only refilled wine. It is supposed a 3 hours trip but we departured at 2pm and were reaching the pier at 4:35pm. Our trip lasted 2 hours...
