No. 9 Lounge & Restaurant — Restaurant in Polis Chrysochous

We visited this beachfront restaurant on my friends 50th birthday. We particularly chose this as it had a smaller menu which for us means chef can spend time perfecting the food. I2 if us had octopus and my friend had the curry. The octopus was perfection the riddled flavor and tenderness was just to salivate over. The curry was full of flavor and was thoroughly enjoyed we had starters no. 9 starter delicious the children had this the scallops with black pudding to die for. The resteraunt is right on the beach and is just stunning views. We loved it so much we returned again the following week of our holiday when the guys had the chicken and pork souvlaki wow it was huge and the chicken as advised was chicken leg which is moist rather than chicken breast which can be dry. I recently visited this beach café with my husband on a Monday afternoon around 3 PM, expecting a nice snack by the sea. To our surprise, the café was completely empty, yet every table by the ocean was marked as “Reserved.” We asked the waiter if we could occupy a small table, and he informed us that it wasn't possible. As a result, we ended up sitting at a table in the middle of the café for 30 minutes without any company. While I have no complaints about the food, I am quite frustrated with the staff's attitude towards guests. It's disheartening to feel unwelcome in a place that should be enjoying its peaceful atmosphere. This lack of customer care overshadowed our visit. I hope management can improve their approach to guests...

A wonderful hidden gem! Just tiny bit further away from the main restaurant cluster, I found that it has a higher rating than others on google map so I gave it a try.

It’s quieter here, has an unobstructed view of the sea, and kind service that’s not just shouting in your face to get you to sit down (as opposed to the restaurants on the main street/ just off the boat trip boarding point)

Food was really delicious too! The seafood starter is exceptional for me. Except the fish and chips which is a bit more average but it’s an item on the kids menu so I wasn’t expecting the authentic British taste anyway.
