So sad to write a bad review, but this is true. My wife and me was on a boat trip in Latchi, after this we decide to go nearest Restaurant Porto Latchi. We like good food and good service because both of us work with the people. Even me have 3 years experience as Waiter and Head Waiter in 5 * hotel. We know for what we pay. But in this restaurant maybe food is nice, we don't know it. Because after bad situation we left from this place. The waiter came and ask if we would like to eat and drink. I answer immediately Yes. But firs I would like to have some sparkling water with ice. Until we decide what we will gona eat. They bring for us 2 small botle of Perier water and 2 glases with ice and lemon inside. When i take glas i see dirty ice. Mean Ice with black dots, or something what was extra :) i chek all ice was same, my and second glas also. When came waiter i kindly ask " If is possible to change ice because is dirty." She dont trusts me grab a glass from hands of my wife and start looking inside, I ask her if she see same? In this time waiter must say at list "SORRY"! But she put "happy mask" on her face turn around and go, they bring glases without ice and lemons whit the rude tone question what we gona eat?! But sorry guys this is was if for me and my wife which have B-Day this date. I ask for the bill because. Another lady came to me to ask if we decide what are we gonna eat? I say No thanks, I like to pay for water. And this time she tells me how we like... Maybe we are pedant, or just look for details. But table clothes was dirty, Menu was old and oily. For this place whit this price without service i will not recommend to anybody! At all. My lifestyle is: If you don't like it something don't do it. You are not a tree. I wish all the best for a lady, but one day she will meet the same service and she...
Read moreOur recent visit to Porto Latchi was a mixed experience. While the restaurant boasts a beautiful location with stunning views of the sea, especially if you manage to snag a table on the waterfront, the quality of the food and overall dining experience left much to be desired.
Starting with the positives, the Greek salad was fresh and enjoyable, providing a decent start to the meal. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. Our main courses consisted of carbonara and truffle ravioli, both of which were underwhelming. The carbonara was passable, but nothing to write home about. The real disappointment, however, was the truffle ravioli. Not only was the portion size shockingly small, but the ravioli itself was bland, and the accompanying sauce was far too heavy and stodgy, detracting from what should have been a more refined dish.
Additional issues included the bread, which tasted old and stale, and the precut limes served with our meal were dried out and still had sand on them. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Considering all these shortcomings, the meal was also highly overpriced. We ended up paying €41 for just these dishes and a bottle of water, which did not seem justified given the quality and portion sizes.
In summary, while Porto Latchi might offer a pleasant view, the food quality, portion sizes, and pricing leave much to be desired. It's not a place we would recommend based on my experience, especially if you're looking for value for your money and a...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible service. It's a shame as the fish is actually quite nice but the portions on the fish mezze are tiny and the staff are miserable and smoke in front of you. It's a Greek restaurant with Russian workers and if your Russian, they are nice to you. If you anything else, your treated with rudeness. Typical really, a Cypriot in Cyprus and made to feel like I'm the foreigner. They just throw food on the table and take food away without a single word.
Also, the dessert were just two whole oranges that weren't even cut. They were just placed in a plate with a knife. How lazy can you be. This isn't even the worst part. When I cut the oranges, they had bugs crawling in them.
Then as you'd expect, I didn't tip based on my experience and they got all moody. Maybe if you gave a bit of service, smiled a bit and gave me oranges without worms, you could have a tip.
Wouldn't recommend going there....
