Legendre Joaillerie — Local services in Avignon

During a trip to visit a friend in Avignon, I stumbled across this small boutique jeweler in the downtown district. Their work captured my intrigue, and I kept their business card to stay in contact with the merchant. A couple of years later I chose to ask for my girlfriend’s hand in marriage, and the decision on where to obtain my engagement ring was obvious. Legendre Jewelers made a stunning custom ring with wedding bands to match, and allowed me to request my own alterations to the setting. All of which I did remotely via email from California. Malheureusement, je ne recommande pas cette joaillerie. Je suis entré dans cette boutique pour discuter d’un projet sérieux de bague et obtenir des conseils. Cependant, le responsable n’a pas semblé me prendre au sérieux.

Malgré une idée relativement précise de ce que je souhaitais, aucun exemple de bague ne m’a été montré et aucun conseil ne m’a été donné. Les seules réponses obtenues étaient : "Notre site est en maintenance" ou "Je ne peux rien vous montrer". Une approche pour le moins étonnante pour accompagner et fidéliser un client.

Lorsque j’ai évoqué la possibilité d’opter pour un diamant de synthèse (une simple ouverture à discussion, car je ne suis pas expert et attendais justement des conseils), le responsable s’est immédiatement braqué. J’étais pourtant prêt à envisager toutes les options, y compris le diamant naturel, mais son discours s’est montré particulièrement fermé sur ce sujet.

Il a tout de même pris mon adresse email et les spécifications du projet, mais je n’ai jamais eu de retour… ce qui, au final, ne m’étonne pas vraiment.

Je recommande vivement au responsable de ne pas juger un client dès son entrée dans la boutique (surtout quand celle-ci est vide) et de procéder à une réelle qualification du projet. Il est dommage de passer à côté d’une potentielle vente avec un budget significatif (entre 8K et 10K EUR) et, surtout, de laisser une telle expérience se traduire par un...
