We recently had the pleasure of taking a wine tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails, and it far exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, everything was perfectly curated to ensure we had an unforgettable experience.

Our guide, Francois, was a standout. His deep knowledge of wine, Bordeaux history, and the local culture, combined with his friendly and hospitable demeanor, made the tour both informative and fun. He truly went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and engaged.

One of the highlights of our day was visiting Chateau de Sales in Pomerol. The barrel tasting and wine tasting in their stunning tasting room were exceptional. The wines were so incredible that we couldn’t resist shipping a box home!

Another unforgettable stop was Chateau Franc Mayne, where the tour of their caves—used to age their wines—was absolutely spectacular. The combination of history, craftsmanship, and ambiance made this a truly memorable experience.

The walking tour through St. Emilion was magical. This picturesque medieval town was like stepping back in time, with its charming cobblestone streets and historic landmarks. We even enjoyed a bottle of champagne at a scenic spot overlooking the town and surrounding vineyards—pure perfection.

Lunch was delicious, though the restaurant seemed a bit overwhelmed with the crowd. There was a mix-up with one of the orders and a hiccup with our pre-ordered special meal, but that was the only blip of the otherwise great day.

Overall, this bespoke tour, organized by the wonderful Chloe, was everything we had hoped for and more. If you're looking for a personalized wine tour experience in Bordeaux, we can’t recommend Bordeaux Wine Trails highly enough. We’re already dreaming of...

This is by far the best tour I have ever been on in any city across the globe! We (two people) did the half day tour in a group of eight people. This was the perfect size group for us, as we got to meet a variety of different people whilst still having the intimacy of a small group, which was lovely. However, the real star of the day was our tour guide, Maud, who made an effort to remember names and genuinely get to know everyone in the group as well as tailor the tour to our requirements and preferences as a group. She was knowledgeable, charismatic and facilitated discussion and social interactions between the whole group, to the point where at the end of the day it felt like the 9 of us had known each other for years despite meeting just a few hours prior. The tour was also really well thought out. A stop at Chateau Rol Valentin with a really detailed tour and explanation of the method of wine making in a Grand Cru ClassĂ© chateau, before a tasting of a few different wines, both from the chateau and from wineries across France with sentimental links to the chateau. We then had a quick tour of St-Émilion, seeing the architecture, views, and stopping by a number of food shops (our group were all foodies!) recommended by Maud. Finally, a stop by Chateau Mauvinon, where we sampled some great wines in the evening sunshine on their roof terrace, paired with some delicious cheeses. Overall, this was an absolutely fantastic day, unbelievable value for money, and a genuinely...

My husband and I joined for the full day E-Bike Tour in Saint-Emilion. Riding through the beautiful scenery in Saint-Emilion with our e-bikes was most definitely a major highlight of our trip to Bordeaux. Clem and his assistant for the day, Alex, were both knowledgeable and wonderful guides. Not only did they have a wealth of knowledge about Bordeaux wine and the region's history, but they also were genuinely warm and passionate about sharing their love of wine! We really appreciated their humor and engagement throughout the day. We got to try tastings at 2 different chateaux, a simple but delicious lunch, a walking tour of Saint-Emilion, and of course, enjoying the scenery of Saint-Emilion from our bikes... what a treat. When else would you get to enjoy the rustic scenery of the French vineyards so up close?

We also appreciated Clem's attention to our safety throughout our rides, as we were riding alongside the small and narrow roads of Saint-Emilion, where cars and farm machinery also ran alongside us. He always made sure to warn us about oncoming traffic and directions. The walking tour of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion was also wonderful, and our guides were so knowledgable about the city's history. The e-bikes also helped make the biking uphill much easier, and it wasn't too bad for the moderately active person. For anyone fit and mobile enough to ride a bike for the whole day, I whole-heartedly recommend the tour. Thank you Clem and Alex - you guys are such an asset...
