Shopped at this location 29Sept2019. I purchased 2 wallets, one for my mom as a birthday gift and one for myself as a special souvenir as this was my first time in France. The experience was a bit confusing and now reading the other reviews, it seems like this is the norm. I think we waited about 20 minutes before anyone asked us if we needed help. There were only a few customers at the time and about 5 free sales associates just standing around. This was odd as my experience with shopping at LV stores in U.S., the sales associates are very eager to help you as soon as you walk through the door, some might say even a little too obtrusive.
The sales associate who did eventually help us did a wonderful job, wrapped up my mom's present nicely and gave us some free samples of perfume. She also got all of the VAT refund docs in order for me which was super helpful. She is the reason why I'm not giving this review only 1 star. As I was getting my wallet monogrammed, she instructed me to come back the next day to pick up the finished wallet as the person who does the stamping had gone home for the day and would be back in the morning. No problem. I came back the next day (today) around 4pm with my pick up receipt in hand. This is where things got a little weird.
I walked up to the door and pulled on the door, half expecting the doorman to open it as he did the day before. It was locked and I could see customers inside and the doorman didn't budge, he saw me, so I knocked. He slightly opened the door and asked what I needed so I told him I was there to pick up my wallet and I waved my receipt. I'm pretty sure the store wasn't closed as I checked the store times before I walked over. Doorman then asked if I could wait 5 minutes outside! He would not let me in. At that moment a sales associate saw me and ran over to tell the doorman to let me in but I had to stay by the door. What the hell. About 30 seconds later, another woman walks up to the door to get in and the doorman let's her in no problem. Seriously what the hell was that. Sales associate came back with my wallet, showed me the finished product, packaged it up and off I went. I probably will never purchase from this store again which is a shame because I do love the brand and products and have had pleasant experiences at many...
Read moreI walked in Dec-2024 after a long day of touring Nice (dressed super casual). I had seen a purse online which was one I had not seen in the US. I briefly walked around and as I thought about exiting Manuel approached and spoke French to me. I politely asked "english" and he quickly spoke in english and asked if he could assist with a friendly smile. I told him I was looking for a specific purse and asked if I could show him a photo. When I showed him the photo he immediately walked me over to a counter, opened a drawer and showed me a number a couple of purses within the collection. When I selected my purse Manuel asked if I had my passport. I told him it was at my hotel as I had been touring all day. Manuel offered to briefly hold the item as the VAT savings would enhance my vacation and also stated when I return there would be no need to wait in line. When I returned about a 1/2 hour later the door man said "welcome back" and let me in right away. Manuel retrieved my purse from the back and detailed the VAT refund process. Manuel asl intelligently answered a few questions with a friendly smile. Side note, so easy for a first time purchaser like me, just like Manuel explained, look for the kiosk, scan the bar code and you are done. Manuel was so friendly and hopefully I will make my way back to Nice in the next couple of years. f I do, I will 1000% ask for Manuel as soon as I enter. Thank you Manuel had you not approached me I would have walked out without the purse I...
Read moreFirst of all, I want to thank the young gentleman who was accompanying us (unfortunately I don’t remember his name, I just know he is Niçois). He was very kind and welcoming, helped us with our purchase and we had a pleasant talk. Overall, the experience of buying something from this boutique could be nice, but(!) there were couple of things that we didn’t like. First of all, we came with our suitcase and left it near front door. As I was busy buying and filling out the paperwork, my sisters noticed that 2 store consultants and security guard were touching, rolling and doing stuff with my suitcase without my permission. When my sister asked if there is a problem with the suitcase, they replied that there is no problem, they just liked the suitcase but continued touching it and plucking the tag of the suitcase. Secondly, they didn’t say sorry to me. And I just have a huge question. Is it okay that store workers of a huge maison luxe (Louis Vuitton) do things like that to client’s stuff? Even without my permission? Didn’t hear any “I’m sorry” from them. There were stuff of other people, but they didn’t seem to be interested in touching other people’s stuff. It was very rude and not appropriate for such a huge luxury store. Even as I was exiting the store, the security...
