What a bummer, my fave chocolate shop has really gone downhill. Unfriendly, basic service (probably the same dude mentioned here by other unhappy folks). I was traveling back to Nice and wanted my chocolates in a box, apparently you can only get a box if you buy the prepackaged chocolates. If you want to select your own you get a cellophane bag. Literally every chocolate shop in Nice will package your purchase in a pretty box with a nice ribbon and a smile, not here. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get €50 worth of chocolates that have been crammed into a tiny bag back on the train with all my luggage and have them not be destroyed. Her favourite macaron was the Vanille one, but we could not finish it and threw it away. I generally don’t get chocolate flavoured macarons, but enjoyed this one. While macarons might not be what Jean-Paul Hevin is most famous for, we found these to be of far superior quality, consistency and taste than the more well known competitors along the road. The customer service was also most delightful, despite my rusty French.
