My experience with this wonderful antiquarian bookshop was entirely through email and phone calls, and everyone who interacted with me - especially Louise - were knowledgeable, friendly and patient, endlessly answering my questions, supplying me with as many photos as I needed of the book I was considering buying. And the conversation, the exchanges on phone and email, were never matter of fact, but expansive and bibliophilic. I found the shop while searching for a specific book on the abe website. Although there was a problem with the abe website I was able to call and have a lovely conversation with a woman at the shop. Then my friend flawlessly paid with paypal, the book left Paris on Monday and I had it in Antwerp on Wednesday -- professionally wrapped and exactly as advertised including a note with a description of the book.
