This hotel is bad is where I want to begin my review. Let me explain why I feel this way,
The room that we got was tiny on top of it one of the walls in the room had a spiral staircase(outside) that carved out the room. We almost had to walk side ways when crossing through that wall. We had to walk through that wall because as soon as you enter the room there was a bathroom which I will talk about shortly but past that was this big staircase hosting wall and then the bed. The room had a window but that window opened to another wall which was disgustingly dirty. The room had a AC which didn’t work at all and even though we set the temperature to 18 degree C it felt suffocating in the room. The room didn’t have a garbage bin at all and not even in the bathroom.( hello how can you call this a real hotel room?) The bathroom of course was also very small. We went downstairs and complained about these at the reception and they told that they were completely booked and they would change us to a better room the next day as were staying for 3 days and when we went the next day they said they can’t change the room then. They were not accommodating at all.
The woman at the front desk when checking us in did it at 10 am in the morning and said that we could stow our luggage and come back after 2 pm saying that they would keep the room ready and when we come back they gave us this crappy room and said they were completely booked when we went back with the complaints?
Please don't get fooled by the images they post on the internet about the rooms as they are all completely fake . If 0 rating was possible I would have to think twice to...
Read moreThe worst customer service I have ever received. Their hotel policy says that the maids are able to take anything out of the room if they want to keep it, before throwing it away, if they deem that object as trash. I had a brand new bag (a canvas and burlap tote bag, clearly not a trash bag) full of souvenirs, scrapbook materials, and museum pamphlets from my study abroad stay. This bag was taken out of my room, items were opened, and some never got returned. Instead of being helpful through this process and correcting the mistake, front desk staff and management handled the situation as a joke, and treated me extremely poorly, as a paying customer. Digging through the trash room, rude daily conversations, and receiving compensation only as I was leaving Paris on my final time in the hotel, left for a unwelcoming and poor stay. If this situation was handled with dignity and respect for me, a much higher review would have been deserved. Mistakes happen, but how they dealt with the situation was beyond disrespectful and below the standards any business should operate at. Shady actions and comments made by management, housekeeping services, and front desk staff left an untrustworthy and horrible experience. I would never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Nobody deserves their items to be taken, out of what is supposed to be a safe environment. Nobody deserves to be treated as though their opinion and concerns are worthless. Nobody deserves crude remarks to be made about their character, from a business and service they...
Read moreA really pleasant Parisien hotel situated perfectly on the left bank of the Seine in the Latin Quarter 5th Arr. Walking distance for Paris; St Michel; Pantheon; Notre dame; the louvre and the seine. 5 to 15 minute walk to all of the above. Really safe, nice neighbourhood only three mins walk from the Luxembourg metro which is 3 stops from Gare du Nord and beside Luxembourg Gardens. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The reception and bar area are exactly as seen on website. The receptionist said renovation was ongoing but we had no disturbance. The bar is really cool and the barman Alexie is a lovely guy and a first class bar tender, who makes superb cocktails and is very chatty and engaging.
I cant lie, when I first went into our room I was a bit disappointed because it was nothing like the space promised , however its Paris..The rooms are clean, compact; simple stylish 30s / 40s decor and the shower is very powerful. Super comfy beds and not a lot of noise from the street. Rooms are serviced daily with bed making and fresh towels. If you want a little more space then a superior double is recommended which are on the corner of the building. Breakfast is in the basement, the breakfast is good quality and plentiful. Boiled eggs; ham, cheese, fresh fruit; juice; milk; tea coffee and fresh bread. When booking it's best to get breakfast included in your rate. I would recommend this hotel to anyone...
