Love and Cakes Paris (Gateaux d’anniversaire Birthday Number Letter Layer Cakes last minute) — Local services in Paris

This was my first birthday in Paris, and I must thank Love and Cakes Paris for the pathetic experience.

My parents were sad that it was the first time that they couldn't be with me on my birthday and had ordered a SURPRISE birthday cake which was supposed to arrive between 10am to 1pm. I didn't know what they had planned but since they had asked me to stay home during the time slot that it was supposed to be arrive at, I had cancelled my plans to go out at that time. By 1 pm my parents finally told me to check with Love and Cakes since they hadn't received a reply to their emails. The surprise was obviously ruined and my time was wasted.

When I had called them they made some excuses about it being a last minute order, and that they would deliver at 6pm. It's very unprofessional to not deliver at the time you promise in your email. If it was absolutely not possible, it should have been informed to my parents so that I wouldn't have to waste my time.

Then I got a call at 3 pm and the lady told me that my cake would reach in 15 minutes. I was busy with some work, but I since my parents were so thoughtful I decided to collect the delivery. I was late to the gate by 5 minutes because I was not ready (and it takes some time to walk there from my apartment). When I collected the delivery, the lady was quite unpleasant. If you are delivering something for a special occasion, you must make an effort to be nice and make the other person feel good. Maybe she was annoyed that she had to wait at the gate for a few minutes, but the customer cannot be punctual if the delivery time is changed without prior intimation.

The cake tastes fine, but overall it was a very stressful experience and a waste of my time. I wouldn't recommend ordering from here for special occasions because the company really needs to work on their commitment to making deliveries punctual and friendly.

I'm bracing myself for a rude reply from the store management team because based on other reviews, it seems like they don't take negative feedback well.

Edit: Wow such a predictable response. I'm sorry but in my home country they deliver cakes in perfect condition with less than 24 hours notice.. The company should not provide such assurances to clients if they cannot fulfill them. Furthermore if it was going to be late, the least you could do is inform us beforehand. Lastly please stop lying, I was 5 minutes late and I have the call records to prove it. It's so petty that you cannot accept that your service was unsatisfactory. Bonjour à tous! I’d like to take this opportunity to share with you my magnanimous experience with Love and Cakes. I’m from the Philippines and it was my first time to order with Love and Cakes via delivery to a hotel in Courbevoie to suprise my boyfriend and honestly their service is trés excellent. They are VERY MUCH RESPONSIVE with your questions and other concerns about their products and service, they make immediate action, response, especially assistance if there is an unexpected incident that could happen with the delivery. Just like in my case, the day they will deliver my order, i asked them (last minute) if they can include on a piece of paper a Happy 2nd Anniversaire, yes, since me and my boyfriend is in Long Distance Relationship. They told me that the delivery man has already left, but they will ensure and tell their delivery man to just write the message on the cute box of their cupcakes. And so they did and deliver it to the hotel and sent my boyfriend a message that he has a package to pick-up from the hotel lobby. On the night of the day they delivered it to the hotel, my boyfriend messaged me that he has not received any package, he went back and forth many times to the hotel lobby to check over and again if there is anything for him, unfortunately, the hotel has nothing for him. So upon receiving the Thank You message of Love and Cakes on my email, i told them that as much as i want to make a good review on their page, my boyfriend has nothing to received and to my surprise, LOVE AND CAKES HAS THE BEST SERVICE. They kept in contact with me, and answered all of my questions, assisted me and even called the hotel in Courbevoie again just to ask about the cupcakes delivery. It surprised me because i know that their duty with my order was already done, and yet THEY HELPED ME TRACK IT. I AM VERY MUCH SATISFIED WITH THEIR FAST AND APPROACHABLE SERVICE. 100 % efficient and trustworthy!! Plus let’s all agree that their CUPCAKES ARE REAL DELICIOUS and VERY PRESENTABLE (as what my boyfriend told me) and i really do admire and appreciate their MAGNIFICENT SERVICES! Hi everyone! I live in South Florida (in the United States). I was looking for a pâtisserie or bakery that was good, reliable, and had delivery services to buy a cheesecake for my French boyfriend that lives in Paris.

I asked a couple of acquaintances that live in Paris and they told me that "they didn't deliver in Paris". I don't give up easily, so I decided to research online and found Love and Cakes. I was able to communicate with them via email and place my order online. If you live abroad, please make sure you follow up with them via email to confirm details. They asked me to provide a copy of my ID online (I believe to confirm my identity). I was glad to provide it and the deal was closed. The delivery date arrived and the beautiful cheesecake with strawberry sauce was taken to my boyfriend's place. It was a beautiful surprise! He absolutely loved it. He recorded a video eating it and oh my! Now, I want to try it too. One observation is that I tried calling them a couple of times using a calling card, but there was no ringtone. I am not sure of what happened. Luckily, I was able to connect with them via email🙆‍♀️.

I had written a birthday message for them to give to my boyfriend, and he received it via text message after they delivered the cake. They called him one day before to make sure he was going to be home for the delivery, and didn't tell him what it was for. They did a great job at keeping the surprise.
