I went there with my girlfriend two weeks ago. I really wanted to buy something from Kenzo, but at a fair price. I found a cardigan with a great discount. I asked an employee if the price was correct—she said yes and offered me a medium size. The medium was too small for me, but I ended up getting the last large one from another man who had tried it on and didn’t like it.
I tried it on, and both the employee and my girlfriend complimented me on how it looked. I then went to the cashier. To my surprise, the cashier—who could barely speak proper English—started shouting that the cardigan was from the women’s section, had no discount, and wouldn’t fit me anyway. I tried to explain the situation, but she didn’t understand and refused to talk to her colleague. Instead, she got into an argument with her coworker and barely acknowledged me. The only thing she kept repeating was that I would have to pay the full price because “this is not men’s.”
In hindsight, I noticed that the buttons were on the other side, but there was no label or sign on the hanger indicating a different price or that it was a women's item. The fit was nearly identical, and the other employee clearly reassured me it was fine and even handed it to me.
