We had some friends over and went to the Polo store. During the payment, they entered their email, but I discovered that my email has a discount. I asked if they could use my discount, but the cashier said that was not possible, because they already paid. Later on I asked them about the return policy and that they could take the products back and I can add my discount, but they said that that was not an option anymore, because the tax refund has been processed. It was a worthwhile visit for us to visit the Polo Ralph Lauren store. No, the store does not only sell clothing for the Polo equestrian sport or a wide collection of polo t-shirts in all colors and sizes. Inside we found a wide collection of beautiful clothing with numerous articles at an interesting outlet price. When paying for a beautiful cardigan, the employee found a miniscule minor damage, after which the article was replaced by another identical cardigan that, again after inspection by the employee, was in order. Une expérience décevante.

Dès notre arrivée, une première vendeuse très agréable et souriante nous accueille et nous propose son aide si besoin. Ensuite, un deuxième vendeur, serviable et à l’écoute, répond à nos questions avec professionnalisme. Jusque-là, tout se passe bien.

Mais l’expérience se gâte lorsqu’un troisième vendeur intervient brusquement dans notre échange, insistant pour nous faire acheter un produit indisponible en boutique, alors même que le deuxième vendeur nous avait déjà expliqué les différents modes d’achat.

Puis, un quatrième vendeur commence à nous suivre de près, probablement parce que la boutique fermait dans 1 heure… Cette attitude oppressante nous met, mon conjoint et moi, sous pression, alors que nous souhaitions simplement prendre notre temps pour choisir plusieurs articles.

Un pull attire mon attention. Je m’apprête à le prendre, mais on m’arrête net : "Vous ne pouvez pas le toucher, c’est une décoration !" Stupéfaite, je remarque pourtant qu’il a bien une étiquette de prix avec un code EAN… Cherchant plus d’informations, je me tourne vers la première vendeuse sympathique. Et surprise : elle va chercher ce même pull "de décoration" pour nous le présenter. Elle nous confirme alors (par ce geste) que le vendeur précédent ne nous a tout simplement pas pris au sérieux et s’est moqué de nous.

Très déçus, nous avons quitté la boutique sans rien acheter et irons désormais à La Madeleine, comme à notre habitude.
