Was really surprised when I entered the room, because on booking dot com it showed me a different, smaller apartment. I got room 108, see the photos and ask for it!
I'm not sure what the "category" of this room is but it was huge, elegantly decorated and really relaxing! Perfect for 1 person or a couple.
In the room:
A kitchen with a microwave, a kettle, a really small fridge with 2 complementary small water bottles, Nespresso coffee machine with 2 capsules, some plates, glasses and wine glasses.
Not much cookware but there is a portable stove surface in the closet so you can put it on the kitchen counter.
There is also a small working desk with a great Harman Cardon Bluetooth speaker which is amazing to have!
The living room has a big sofa, large round coffee desk and a big smart TV.
The bedroom has a huge mirror all over the wall, a double bed, a small TV on the wall and a chest of drawers.
There is also a quiet balcony that faces the back side so there's not much view but still nice.
The Good: The location is amazing, in the heart of everything or really close to everything.
Easy check-in - I was welcomed by Natalie who was nice. She gave me the key and showed me the room. Other than that there isn't really service here, to my knowledge.
Value for money - I paid 42 Eur for this room instead of 55, in February (low season). This was after a Genius discount by Booking dot com, which is something that the hotel can't beat. If you have it, use it!
The shower was big and comfortable with lots of shower head positions you can choose from.
The less good: Isolation - I could hear music and people talking from outside the room. Probably thin walls.
Room door - was a wooden, simple interior door, not one you feel comfortable leaving your valuables behind. The handle seems shaky and easily broken, so that wasn't great.
The sink - it might sound picky but the lights from the above spot lighting reflected on the metallic sink, which was super hurting on the eyes. It's hard to show in pictures or videos but it's a lot more annoying than you think.
The bathroom/toilet doesn't have a lock. Also the glass wall separating it from the hall is almost see through.
So if you are sharing the room with a friend or a partner you should feel comfortable with these issues.
Other than that - a great stay. I would...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights during our recent trip to Greece and we loved it. The host, Yannis, is very gracious and helpful, always ready to assist us (we had a bit of a time finding a suitable parking space for our car). We stayed in two different apartments (think of suites/junior suites in regular hotels), very stylish decorations, a coffee machine in each kitchen, and one of the apartments had a great view of Tsimiski boulevard. We felt very at home and it's definitely top of our list when we'll come to...
Read morebeautiful apartment, super neat and tidy with all the accessories like living in your own home, very good value for money!!!! You can not get a room like this even at top hotels!! and the best of all, the apartment is in the center of everything!!! Johnny the owner was also amazing with anything we needed he was there to arrange. From the transport to the apartment and back to the airport was all smooth. If and when we visit Thessaloniki again, we will 100% use the same properties...
