Big Disappointment! The good things...the staff is very kind and helpful, the potatoes, both country and lyonnaise really good and the chocolate pancakes very fluffy and very tasty. The coffee was also good. Reasonable prices. And that's it. The fresh orange juice was extremely watery, probably they have it in a big jar with a lot of ice that melts overtime, Mimosa came in room temperature. Bagel with avocado. That should be a vibrant fresh looking dish with a crispy toasted bagel and a looot of fresh tangy guacamole...that was a bagel that it was a bit stale with a smear of guacamole, a lot of flaxseed that was uneven on the bagel and was not very pleasant, then 2 slices of raw graviera cheese (no reason really) and some cherry tomatoes on top that...had no flavor. Grill the cheese, toss the cherry tomatoes in a dressing do something. I got the Red eggvolution. That was a bit tasty BUT The smallest eggs ever (quail eggs?) so the yolk even though was soft boiled didn't go that far, again stale bagel, spinach ok, hollandaise sauce pretty good . The village omelet was just ok..nothing special. In both plates there was some salad. Come on guys. That should be a really fresh and colorful welcoming thing and not a "sad relative" to the food. Clearly not fresh not very pleasant...and make sure that salad is always cold and not at a room temperature. Also instead of throwing a tiny spoon of dressing on top and having the customer trying to mix it in a very small space and most of it ends outside the plate..mix it in a bowl beforehand and serve it so it's evenly spread and ready to be consumed...details make the difference. As I was finishing my dish I found a piece of hair but that is OK...IT HAPPENS...people are working in the kitchen so it's fine...i just mentioned it to the waitress and she was very apologetic and sincere and also kind to offer a free portion of pancakes that were really good. Last thing but very important. Please make sure that your bathrooms are extremely clean. I took my little son to the bathroom and it was not clean at all when I lifted the toilet seat and made it extremely difficult to use it for him. I was really excited to walk into that place but it left a very sour impression. Needs a...
Read moreI’ve visited many cities across Greece over the past couple of years and have always had wonderful experiences, especially in Thessaloniki—which remains one of my favorite places. During a recent visit to Brunchsin, we enjoyed a tasty late breakfast, but there were a few things that made the overall experience feel less comfortable than expected.
To start on a positive note, the lady who welcomed us at the entrance was incredibly kind and warm—her friendly approach really stood out and set a great tone. Unfortunately, once we were seated inside, the atmosphere changed.
We felt a bit uncomfortable due to the strong air conditioning and asked if we could move to a more comfortable, available four-person table. We were told it was reserved for larger groups, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded. Instead, we were seated at the back near the kitchen, which wasn’t ideal.
The waitress who took our order seemed somewhat impatient, although she tried to remain polite. One particular moment that made us feel uneasy was when she said “thank you” in our native language. Rather than feeling inclusive or friendly, it came across more like a pointed remark. That said, I understand everyone can have a rough day, and we’re all human—things aren’t always as they seem.
On the bright side, the food was excellent. Our breakfast was delicious, and we really appreciated the quality and flavors.
To be fair, this review reflects just one experience, and only a part of the staff. The lady who welcomed us was genuinely wonderful, and I don’t want this to reflect negatively on the entire team or the owner. Overall, it was a good place with some room for improvement—and that’s why I’d rate it 4...
Read moreAs we walked to the place, we sat down and they had 0 heating. It is December and they should have back up heaters to not make us sit outside in the cold (since we could not be inside due to us not being vaccinated). We ordered our food and when our order came the fruits served were bruised and unpleasant to look at. The poached eggs were overly watery, and tasted like onions, it was so sour. My sister requested no fruits, and was served a salad that she did not even want, and it did not come in the order. It smelt bad and was a waste of food if she did not ask for it. The burger's meat tasted out of date, as if it had no taste. When we complained, the manager proceeded to tell my sister that she is not from this country (which she is), as she did not like their pork slices which looked horrendous. If you search up pork slices online it does not come up with what we ordered, as they are thick. I do not recommend coming to this 'place' due to the horrible service, attitude, and inedible food
In response to your response, we were very nice in the way we complained, we did not blame you for the service, we just stated our opinion. We did not finish our food, one of us did not even eat a quarter of their burger, one of us ate one poached egg, and one of us ate both due to hunger. We both agreed to pay half price, which was the manager's negotiation. My sister said she was apologetic for her complaint but she had to say how she felt about her meal. We do not want to do anything other than state our experience and our views. The photo...
