We didn't actually end up staying here, as they didn't clean the room from the previous guests. You must self check-in and be able to phone a local telephone number to open the main gate and door. There are no staff on site, and they appear to manage it remotely (i.e. out of the country). The messaging system with the property is blatantly provided by an AI bot, and becomes a nuisance as they send you multiple messages on the same subject and yet still manage to not highlight the most important point about confirming your arrival time in advance. There was a very slow response on the day from an actual human, and they didn't get someone in to clean it on the day (or provide an alternative room). The only option we were given was to find somewhere else ourselves. We ended up wasting 4 hours trying to get a resolution. I still received the annoying AI bot thank you and check out messages, in spite of the reality of the situation. Then to add insult to injury, they messaged me a few days later to say they found damage to the shower hose and would be charging me €15!! Obviously this could not have been us as we didn't use the facilities. They weren't even prompt with confirming the full refund, so I reached out to the booking platform to speed things up. This place is terribly managed, and I advise all to avoid. If they fix the following things it would be 5 stars: the television was not working, the very nice retro light bolbs and under the bed was dusty. And there is an annoying lamp in the bedroom that automatically switch off after 10 seconds. It would be nice if they can set it to 2 minutes. Last but not least, the reason why 4 stars is that we stayed 4 nights but there was no refreshment of the room and also no towels. A towels refreshment costs extra. Unfortunately, the room was really messy— all rooms with kitchen. If this happens to you, log in to your Booking account, have your reservation and PIN ready, call the help number, and ask them to help you cancel the reservation with written confirmation! Then look for another accommodation—Budapest is big, and last-minute deals are sometimes even cheaper. Bolt works well here.
