We stayed for a week at the Estilo Fashion Hotel in Budapest. Overall, the experience was okay, but not more than that. We expected a bit more, especially since the hotel presents itself as a 4-star property, though in reality it felt closer to a 3-star level — yet the price was that of a 4-star hotel.||||The location was excellent – right on the main boulevard and next to the Great Market Hall, with easy access to public transportation. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.||Our room was small but sufficient for two people, with a comfortable bed, a large wardrobe, and a clean bathroom with hot water available at all times.||||That said, the hotel overall felt very basic. The room did not include many of the amenities usually provided in 4-star hotels, such as cotton pads, a shower cap, slippers, bathrobes, or a laundry bag.||||Housekeeping could definitely improve. When we arrived, the bathroom bin was not emptied; the shampoo/soap dispenser wasn’t refilled regularly, and one evening we were left without any soap at all. The floor didn’t always feel clean, a cleaning glove was left in the room, and while they threw away the used bar soap, they didn’t replace it with a new one.||The room did not come with a kettle or tea/coffee set, but when we asked at reception, they kindly provided a kettle and two cups (we brought our own tea).||||Cleaning and dining staff were not always very pleasant — perhaps due to the constant rush in the breakfast area. The buffet breakfast was fairly standard, though some items, especially fruits and vegetables, didn’t seem very fresh, and popular items often ran out and took a while to be refilled.||||One major disappointment was that the air conditioning didn’t work. We chose the hotel because it was advertised as having both A/C and heating, but we were told that the system had been switched to heating for the season. It was too warm at night, so we had to sleep with the window open, which led to mosquito bites and early morning noise from pigeons. The towel heater also didn’t work properly.||||In summary, the hotel offers a good location and decent comfort, but it lacks the finer details and service quality expected from a...

Read moreWe had a generally good stay at Estilo Fashion Hotel in Budapest. The family room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed and also the staff was just amazing. The location of the hotel is also quite convenient for exploring the city.
However, our experience upon arrival left something to be desired. We arrived at 9 AM after a crazy bumpy overnight train ride from Romania, only to find that no rooms were available yet. While this is understandable given the early hour, what disappointed us was the lack of effort from the staff to make us feel welcome during our wait. We were all exhausted and had to sit in the lobby for hours without any attempt from the staff to offer us any comfort or assistance.
The breakfast provided was also somewhat disappointing. The options were very limited, usually just eggs, sausages, some fruits, and occasionally bread and butter. It would have been nice to see more variety in the breakfast offerings.
On a positive note, having a coffee machine in the reception area was a convenient touch, especially for those early mornings.
Overall, our stay at Estilo Fashion Hotel was pleasant, but the experience could have been greatly improved with a bit more hospitality from the staff and a more varied...
