A Rather Disappointing Encounter at Budapest's Market Hall
One had anticipated a delightful foray into the renowned Budapest Market Hall, yet the experience proved lamentably underwhelming. The incessant crowds rendered it quite impossible to find a seat, leaving one perplexed as to the cause of such commotion. The fare, particularly at the canteen on the first floor opposite the escalator, was exceedingly uninspired—lacking the authenticity and refinement one might reasonably expect from Hungarian cuisine.

Read moreI did not expect this place to be so big. The downstairs is filled with butchers, fresh produce, many with alcohol and goose fat. The upstairs however has all your item stalls. From t-shirts, keyrings, magnets, bags, all kinds of souvenir items and more. I recommend you walk around first as many stalls have the same items and some are cheaper. An amazing market hall, great produce and amazing natural products. Going around the market you can find anything! And upstairs, you find one of the most authentic Hungarian restaurants, serving a wonderful array of mouthwatering food with just the right ambience and warmth.
