Unprofessional! we ordered catering service for 35 people on occasion for our baby shower, when we went to place the order Manager Manjunath was very polite and humble to my husband. We gave them the babyshower order. He asked us to pay the bill after the event was done but we still paid the half of the bill before the event. The big day arrived and the food was delivered on time. My husbabd paid the 2 catering boys and the porter transport. but the food was very salty including butter milk , mutton curry, mint chicken, baby corn dry. Food was very salty, guest couldn't eat, they all left food in their plates . I had ordered extra plate for night dinner as well . We ended up preparing the food for dinner. Event food still in the fridge as we paid 625 rs per plate so couldn't bring my self to throw or couldn't give it to anyone didnt wanted anyone to fall sick. We told The manager the same he said he did taste the food in the morning there was no salt so he added more salt to the food. Today he comes to my house instead of apologizing he screams at us to pay when i asked him to negotiate the rates because this food as i had ordered, event was spoiled . He threatens me and my husband that he will call the police, he refused to leave my building and started saying we added the salt in the food. When i asked him to taste the food he had sent us as it still in the fridge he refused started insulting us cursing i was force to pay him so that i dont lose my health . Very bad service . Very bad food quality. They are kind and polite only till you give them business,...

Located on 27th A Cross road, close to Sapna Book House in Jayanagar 3rd Block, this restaurant has been serving sea food in Mangalore style quietly with its loyal Customer base. Had to lookout for the entrance as the restaurant is situated on the 1st floor & the entry staircase is not marked appropriately.
Visited for Dinner on a weekday, the place was sparsely filled with families. Ordered below dishes/beverage, Bondas (Squid) Sukka - 4/5 Anjal Rawa Fry - 5/5 Chicken Pepper Dry - 5/5 Malabar Parota - 5/5 Chicken Biryani Nati Style - 5/5 Fish Thali - 5/5 Kokum Soda - 5/5
Found the Staff very humble & ever willing to explain the menu with its preparation method. Food was served hot & fresh, each dish tasted very nice with right proportions of spices appealing to our taste buds. Pricing was justified to the portion size except seafood items.
Restaurant is very clean, hygienic and nicely maintained though the interiors calls for a fresh look, understood from the management that there's a renovation planned in the further days.
Highly recommended for...
Read moreI recently visited Mangalore Sea Palate, located at 197/F, 27th A Cross Rd, Jayanagar 3rd Block, Jayanagar, Bengaluru, and had a mixed experience.
This restaurant specializes in classic Mangalorean seafood and meat dishes, offering a variety of set meals. On weekends and holidays, it's bustling with patrons, making it necessary to wait for table service. The Chicken Thali with Kane Tawa fry and Anjal tawa fry was our choice along with Boiled Rice. The Kane fry was delightful, perfectly cooked and flavorful. However, the Anjal fry was a disappointment; it was undercooked and didn't justify the steep price of Rs.400.
The service, unfortunately, left much to be desired due to long wait times, although the overall experience was passable. The restaurant's ambiance was reasonable, and hygiene standards were commendable. The Chicken Thali was tasty, providing a redeeming factor to the meal.
Mangalore Sea Palate's premium pricing might deter some, but for those craving authentic Mangalorean cuisine, it remains a viable option. With improvements in service efficiency and consistency in food quality, this restaurant could...
